“Lawrence is one of the newest faces on the scene but a talented pop singer everyone should be watching out for.” –Earmilk
Los Angeles, CA-May 10, 2018—Today, Los Angeles indie-pop songstress Charlotte Lawrencereveals new song “Keep Me Up” via Teen Vogue. The track is cathartic for Charlotte, who uses the lyrics to open up about her experiences battling anxiety and was produced by Mag and Louis Schoorl. Click HERE to listen.
Charlotte says on creating the track: “Writing this song served as a personal, emotional outlet for me to be vulnerable about my anxiety and to learn about myself through the process. But in sharing the song with the world, I also want to give light to the issue of mental health. It’s something that affects all of us, and the more we talk about it and create art about it, the more the stigma dissipates.”
Charlotte is set to release her debut EP Young on June 22nd and will tour select cities across the US starting in June. She is also set to open up for twenty-three-year-old independent singer, songwriter and producer Lauv on his fall tour. The run is set to kick off in Hamburg, Germany on September 15thand will see them performing in cities across North America, England, and Europe. Tickets are available for pre-sale on May 14th and are available everywhere on May 18th. See below for routing and click HERE for tickets.
Earlier this year, Spotify launched “Louder Together,” a campaign bringing artists together to collaborate on original Spotify Singles songs in the spirit of community, empowerment and inspiration. Coinciding with Women’s History Month in March, “Louder Together’s” debut single partnered with Charlotteand other emerging female artists, Sasha Sloan and Nina Nesbitt, who came together for the first time to create and record an original Spotify Singles song titled, “Psychopath.” The track garnered over 7 million streams in just a little over a month, click HERE to listen!
Charlotte recently released her current single “Just The Same.” The track has garnered over 8 millionstreams and expands on the singer’s shimmering, slick, and sharp style. Over airy production and glitchy beats, a hypnotic croon takes hold before Charlotte serves up the surprisingly sassy and irresistibly catchy falsetto chant, “I fucking hate you, but I love you just the same.”
“Just The Same” arrived hot on the heels of Charlotte’s 2017 viral smash hit “Sleep Talking.” The track has generated over 17 million streams and counting. Wonderland Magazine fittingly dubbed it, “an electro-pop banger that you’re not going to be able to stop listening to,”and the track heralded her arrival as a genuine musical phenomenon.
