Today, Dear Nora, the long time project of Katy Davidson (pronouns they/them), has announced Skulls Example, their first new album in over 10 years. The FADER, who interviewed Katy Davidson and premiered the album's lead single, "Sunset on Humanity," today are saying "Davidson's songs - though often jangly and addictive - are better, and frankly much weirder, than your standard vintage indie pop." Skulls Example is available for pre-order now and due out on May 25th via Orindal Records.
Like their landmark 2004 album, Mountain Rock, which was named Best New Reissue by Pitchfork last year, Skulls Example reflects on wilderness and humanity themes during turbulent political times.
Additionally, Dear Nora has announced a late spring west coast tour with Nicholas Krgovich that includes dates with Stephen Steinbrink and Hand Habits. All dates below.
