Brooklyn indie rock trio My Wonderful Boyfriend have unveiled their first release of 2026, the new single “My Love, My Darling,” earning an early cosign from Paste as part of their “Best of What’s Next” series. The band—known for their twangy, clever, and charismatic sound—continue to build momentum with a hometown headlining show set for March 6 at Union Pool. They’ll be joined by Beck Zegans and Like A Doll for the anticipated Brooklyn bill. Often compared to indie heavyweights like Pavement, Built to Spill, LCD Soundsystem, and Modest Mouse, My Wonderful Boyfriend blend offbeat charm with left-of-center alt-rock sensibilities. Paste's Matt Mitchell praised the trio’s eccentric appeal, noting that “three goofballs sojourning at alt-rock’s fringiest pageant of idiosyncrasy sounds like a good-enough party to stumble in on.” With buzz mounting and a standout new single leading the charge, My Wonderful Boyfriend are shaping up to be a band to watch in 2026. Tickets are on sale now for My Wonderful Boyfriend at Union Pool. |
