‘The Crisis of Existence’ is the third and final chapter for Lunacy. The Future, which as a full length element and album for LUNACY makes sense as a finality; there is an exclamation point to this long ended journey. The shadow figure has been through hell and back, battling its own demons and fighting for survival alone and together as one.
The next upgrade as to where things were always moving, more mechanically, more in motion, heavier back end, a consistent arp and pulse, with a confidence and clarity. The songs were mixed by techno/industrial collaborator Connor Clasen & mastered by Ben Greenberg of the Men & Uniform. This is the third release for Lunacy on Oliver Ackermann’s Dedstrange label and the follow up to 2023’s Universal Pressure EP.

FROZEN IN TIME
The first single, "Frozen In Time", unveils the future self: phoenix rising, serpent shedding, sacrificing past and present in a ritual of rebirth. Machines surge with thunderous low end, hypnotic arps, and relentless pulses.

“Crisis of Existence,” the title track and second single from Lunacy’s third and final album, marks the defining moment of transformation. Mechanical abandon strikes immediately through the verses as the song surges, its second half oscillating its pulse into the ether. A metaphor for chaos and the question to exist or fade, it captures the moment viscerally.
THE AFTERSHOCK
LUNACY’s third single, “The Aftershock” a relentless force withers into abandon, guided by ritualistic chants that feel both spiritual and foreboding. Flames scorch as ashes fracture and fall. As the video reveals, it ends by the ocean, its stillness reflecting life’s vast return, an echo of the endless cycle of destruction and renewal itself.

CLONE OF A CLONE
LUNACY’s fourth and final single, “Clone of a Clone”, the bells ring out like a warning signal and a repetitive and hypnotic wave of sound. The voice distorts as a distant cry for help and a powerful warning signal of what's to unfold. As time goes on the copies warp and fragment as the world around us starts to disintegrate.

ABOUT LUNACY
Pennsylvania’s own darkwave enigma, LUNACY transmits from the edge of ruin, fusing cinematic post-punk, industrial pulse, and spectral noise into a sound both ancient and futuristic. Their music explores the shadowy corners of the human psyche, echoing themes of collapse and catharsis through powerful synths and analog drum machines.
The project has been circulating since 2016 and is now reaching a decade of LUNACY. After a ton of EPs, singles, and a compilation record, the debut album Age of Truth on Third Coming Records was unleashed in Winter 2019. This album is looked at as the Past in the trilogy of the album cycle for LUNACY. As LUNACY rules in thirds and although set in the future, the first album focuses on the Past.
Not long after the debut, LUNACY released a few rare pieces and singles while gearing up for the second full-length album, Echo in the Memory, which in the trilogy focuses on the Present. At the time, it was very much current — marking a new chapter for LUNACY in a step of sonic annihilation, focusing on trying to rebuild a world that no longer exists. Recorded over a two-year period from 2019–2021, this was the first release for Oliver Ackermann’s Dedstrange record label (A Place to Bury Strangers / Death By Audio).
The Universal Pressure EP , released on Dedstrange in 2023, bridged the gap between the Present and the Future — a dense, rhythmic transmission that condensed LUNACY’s mechanical undercurrent into something sharper, colder, and more deliberate. It stood as both reflection and acceleration, pushing the shadow figure deeper into transformation.
Now, the world braces for what awaits as the third and final chapter in the trilogy is unveiled, The Crisis of Existence, out on Dedstrange early 2026. Representing the Future, it arrives as an exclamation point to a long-ended journey. The shadow figure emerges from the wreckage renewed, confronting evolution and inevitability with clarity and force.
Mixed by techno/industrial collaborator Connor Clasen and mastered by Ben Greenberg (Uniform / The Men), it marks the next evolution of LUNACY, the final transformation in a decade-long ritual of rebirth.
The world is not ready for what awaits as the third full length album will finally see the light of day,
