British neo-psychedelic rockers Temples are celebrating a milestone this year: their debut album Sun Structures, turns 10 years old. They're taking the album on the road this October, embarking on the Sun Structures Anniversary Tour across select U.S. cities.
Today, the band shares exciting news: due October 4th, the Other Structures EP is a collection of B-sides to commemorate their exciting anniversary and its corresponding tour. The EP's lead single, “Day of Conquest”, is a never before released track from the Sun Structures recording sessions.
"'Day of Conquest' was part of the Sun Structures album demos, and it probably would have been on the album, but we ran out of run time on the LP," singer and guitarist, James Bagshaw, remembers. "I remember being fond of this song, and it was a pleasant surprise to go back and unearth the sonic layering. I love how the sections contrast in an interesting way, and the fact there isn’t really a chorus!" The Other Structures EP includes 4 B-sides, and two remixes from The SLP (of Kasabian) and from Robert Levon Been (of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club). "Day of Conquest" is also being shared alongside a music video that features some live performance clips and behind the scenes shots of the band.
Other Structures EP is due October 4th via Fat Possum. |
