Today, Los Angeles psych rock gurus Levitation Room release their next single and video, “Cool It, Baby.” Heavily leaning on funk grooves and satirically riffing on how our planet is burning right before our eyes, the single arrives via ONErpm / The Reverberation Appreciation Society / Greenway Records. Recorded by Jason Kick (Mild High Club, Sonny & the Sunsets) and featuring former member of Thee Sacred Souls Jensine Benitez on backup vocals, “Cool It, Baby” is about as upbeat as impending doom has ever sounded – Stream / Watch. On today’s release, the band said, “It’s a song that implores the listener with sarcasm to think about the current political, economic and social circumstances we find ourselves in.” A slice of over-acted, 70s cop movie cheese, the “Cool It, Baby” official video directed by Louis Pei pits The Guy versus The Suits. Through ridiculous antics and exaggerated cuts and zooms, lines blur as it becomes uncertain who you should root for – Watch.  In August, Levitation Room released their first new music in nearly 3 years with “Scene for an Exit.” Marking an open-minded shift for the band, the new release saw them meticulously branch out from pure psych rock into all other facets of rock, a theme that will paint this musical era. The band’s return brought them international praise from Shindig! Magazine, Happy Mag, Grimy Goods, Dod Magazine and more, as well as placements on Spotify’s undercurrents playlist and Apple Music’s New in Rock.

In a couple weeks, they will be joining the lineup of Rainbow Rock alongside Babe Rainbow, Mndsgn, Pearl & The Oysters, and more.
