Fever Ray’s new album, Radical Romantics, released earlier this year on Mute, “is somehow both brooding and ecstatic — a sonic kaleidoscope that explodes with infinite variations of gray” (T: The New York Times Style Magazine). Today, Fever Ray aka Karin Dreijer unveils “What They Call Us (Nifra Remix),” a thrilling extension of “their captivating third — and best — album” (Resident Advisor). Following the “full-blown spectacle” (Document Journal) of their incredible There’s No Place I’d Rather Be Tour,  “What They Call Us (Nifra Remix)” kicks off an extensive program of Radical Romantics remixes. Nifra, the International Dance Music Awards-nominated DJ and producer, comments, “I was inspired by the haunting vibe of the original and created an edgy, energetic trance remix that has been going off on all of my live shows.” Forthcoming remixes will see Dreijer tap an exciting array of rising electronic talent, including LSDXOXO, VTSS, Avalon Emerson, Logic1000, and more.

In the world of Radical Romantics, Dreijer presents their struggle with the myth of love. Fever Ray first started on Radical Romantics in fall 2019, working in the Stockholm studios built with brother and fellow The Knife member Olof Dreijer who eventually joined in on working on the album. Other co-producers and performers include Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, the experimental artist and producer Vessel, Portuguese DJ and producer Nídia, Aasthma, and more.
