Desert Daze 2022 Updated Poster
The highly anticipated tenth installment of Desert Daze takes flight September 30 - October 2, 2022. Joining the festivities is acclaimed Baltimore duo Beach House, who will perform on the shores of Moreno Beach in Lake Perris, CA. Beach House will join Tame Impala, who will exclusively perform their groundbreaking second album, Lonerism, in its entirety on the weekend of the album’s 10th anniversary; and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, returning for an exclusive Southern California engagement; and much, much more.
Beach House will fill in for previously announced Sunday headliner Iggy Pop who will no longer be performing due to visa issues for his France-based band. Iggy shares, “I am disappointed to announce the cancellation of my appearance at the Desert Daze Festival. Due to a confluence of world events, we have had unprecedented visa issues for my French band way beyond our control, and the band can't enter the United States in time for the date. I am frustrated to let my US fans down. I’ve left no stone unturned to be there with you on October 2nd, but now I can only plan to play this wonderful festival again in the future.” Due to unforeseen circumstances, Boy Pablo and Los Retros will also no longer perform.
Also announced today are set times for the weekend – see HERE and below. The official Desert Daze app is also now available for download and will feature an interactive map, set times, real time weekend updates and more. Visit https://desertdaze.org for additional information.
In addition to the weekend-long collection of cosmic sounds, Desert Daze will feature screenings and talks including conversations with Hamilton Morris (Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia), Shelby Hartman (DoubleBlind), Micki Pellerano and more; remote-midnight messages from Karen O, Jarvis Cocker, Flula Borg and Tiny Chef; pop-up improv comedy from Cardinal Redbird (UCB) all weekend; and more. The grounds will also be illuminated by an array of video artists and art installations; and The Outer Space at the well-equipped campgrounds will feature morning yoga, sound baths and late night sets all weekend.
Desert Daze is produced by Moon Block and Knitting Factory Entertainment (KFE). In addition to single day passes, weekend passes, parking and camping passes are also available now. The limited single days tickets start at $139 plus fees and weekend passes currently starting at $399. For the first time this year, Desert Daze has also partnered with FUSE to help concertgoers put together hotel packages in a variety of budgets.
