Men Without Hats are excited to announce the release of On The Moon, the brand new, seven-song album from the ‘80s Canadian new wave/synth-pop legends (stream & purchase HERE). Produced by GRAMMY and Juno Award winner Brian Howes (Simple Plan, Hinder), mixed by the legendary Mark Needham (The Killers, Elton John), and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, U2), On The Moon features everything from cheeky & fun, dance-ready anthems (“I Love the ‘80s”, “In Glorious Days”) to sweeping, sentimental ballads (“Run Away”, “Love Me Tomorrow”) that sound as if they were lifted directly from the decade that spawned this iconic outfit. The new album marks a high-voltage return for a band whose influence on pop culture is still alive and pogoing. Additionally, Men Without Hats have released the music video for the album’s latest single, “In Glorious Days.” “‘In Glorious Days’ was my first experience with truly collaborative writing,” frontman Ivan Doroschuk recalls of the song’s inception. “I found working with Brian [Howes] effortless; the direction and flow of the song came so naturally, and the result is what I believe to be an amazing hybrid of the classic Men Without Hats sound with a new, modern synth-wave sonic sensibility. Additionally, Men Without Hats will be making numerous headline and festival appearances through 2025 and into 2026. Having recently performed on the Abducted By The ‘80s Tour that featured Wang Chung and Naked Eyes, the band will be headlining shows across parts of Canada and the U.S. east coast through December. With 31 million views on YouTube, nearly 10 million monthly Spotify listeners, and a fanbase spanning generations, Men Without Hats have been at the forefront of popular electronic music, creating worldwide anthems of joy and positivity that have weathered all musical styles and trends, mirroring and recounting the mysteries and challenges of the space and time we live in. Back then, frontman Ivan Doroschuk was joined by his brother Colin Doroschuk for the better part of the ‘80s, along with a host of other talented musicians, with Ivan being the main songwriter and constant throughout the years. With a long string of successful album releases and a 2020 induction into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, we fast forward to the present where — as if it was meant to be — the Men Without Hats family ties would come full circle when Colin would be replaced by his talented daughter, Sahara Sloan, on keyboards and vocals, bringing the band's story full circle with next-gen synth magic and harmonies that sparkle. Writing and recording On the Moon was different for the band in that it was divided into two unique sessions. The first was a two-week stay in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island at producer Brian Howes’ studio where he and Doroschuk collaborated on the tracks “I Love the ‘80s” and “In Glorious Days.” The second session was recorded in Doroschuk’s studio on the ocean in Victoria B.C. with longtime producer, engineer, guitar player and friend Sho Murray. There, they were able to capture the more intimate essence of the songs “If You Try”, "Run Away “, “Love Me Tomorrow” and “A Cause De Toi”.  “I believe we more-than-accomplished our goal and, sonically, managed to keep a cohesive sound and feel throughout,” Doroschuk summarizes. “Creating this project from top-to-bottom was a real ON THE MOON experience.
