(August 29, 2025 - Los Angeles, CANever Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols, an album that rewired 20 years of rock in under 40 minutes, is available today from Rhino High Fidelity (Rhino Hi-Fi), the premium vinyl reissue series. Order HERE.

Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s The Sex Pistols (Rhino High Fidelity) was cut from the original master tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180-gram black vinyl at Optimal in Germany. This release is limited to 5,000 individually numbered copies and available exclusively at Rhino.com and select Warner Music Group stores internationally.

Singer and main lyricist Johnny Rotten (John Lydon), guitarist Steve Jones, drummer Paul Cook, and bassist Glen Matlock—later replaced by Sid Vicious—recorded the Sex Pistols’ only studio album at Wessex Sound in London. Released in 1977, it debuted at #1 on the U.K. charts despite being banned by major retailers and causing widespread controversy. Bristling with broadsides like “Anarchy In The U.K.,” “God Save The Queen,” “Pretty Vacant,” and “Holidays In The Sun,” the album distilled rage and disillusionment into a single, unrelenting statement.

In the album’s new liner notes, producer Chris Thomas recalls how the band found their recording approach almost by accident during an early session. “We put down a track, just rhythm guitar and drums, pretty much first-take, no mistakes. It was impossible to know if it was any good, so, being a bit stumped, I asked Steve if he would like to have a go at putting the bass part on.”

Instead of playing a traditional bass line, he simply mirrored his guitar an octave lower—an unexpected move that snapped everything into focus. “It was an absolute ‘Eureka!’ moment,” Thomas recalls. “The combination was so powerful, so simple. We bashed three more songs down, adding the bass and double-tracking the guitar in just a couple of hours. We were seriously in first-take territory.”

Sadly, just months after the album came out, the band unraveled, breaking up in January 1978 during their U.S. tour. But the Sex Pistols’ legacy far outlasted their time together. Never Mind The Bollocks has sold over a million copies in the U.S. alone, was inducted into the GRAMMY® Hall of Fame, and ranks high among the greatest albums of all time in lists by Rolling StoneNME, and Time. Nearly five decades later, the record remains a defining force in punk and a cultural lightning rod.

Rhino High Fidelity continues to tap into Warner Music’s vast catalog, introducing reissues of seminal albums across genres—from rock and pop to jazz, soul, and beyond. Each title pairs uncompromising audio with archival-grade packaging, honoring the album’s original intent in both sound and design.

(AUGUST 29, 2025) – Making a grand return, iconic multi-GRAMMY® Award-winning band Alabama Shakes share a brand new single entitled “Another Life” out now. Marking the group’s first original release in over a decade—and their official debut for Island Records—it paves the way for their highly anticipated third full-length and first LP since 2015. Listen to “Another Life” HERE.

Hailed by The New York Times as an “unstoppable force of nature” while Pitchfork credits the band for “[inventing] their own genesis,” Alabama Shakes have solidified their place as one of today’s most influential rock bands. The trio—Brittany Howard, Heath Fogg, and Zac Cockrell—has earned four GRAMMY® Awards, garnered billions of streams, and achieved worldwide multiplatinum success. Their chart-topping Sound & Color earned three GRAMMYs®, including Best Alternative Music Album, and a prestigious Album of the Year nomination.

“Another Life”—recorded at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville and produced by Alabama Shakes with longtime collaborator Shawn Everett—channels the original spirit that galvanized a generation of fans, reignited with fresh and focused energy. Smoky keys create a hazy atmosphere while a bluesy guitar echoes in the distance. As if materializing out of the ether, frontwoman Brittany Howard delivers a heart-wrenching and traffic-stopping vocal performance as she wonders, “Can we try again? One more time again? Can we try in another life?” A howling crescendo gives way to an emotionally charged solo, pulling blood, sweat, and tears from the fretboard and through dusty old tube amps. It is passionate, powerful, and precisely what audiences have been clamoring for. It’s simply Alabama Shakes.

Speaking to the track, Howard notes, “When we wrote Another Life, I was thinking about all the lives we carry. The ones we're living right now, the ones that slipped away because of different choices, the what ifs, the what wasn't meant to be, the goodbyes, and the chance encounters that feel divine. This song is about those threads and how they stretch across time and space, connecting every version of who we are. It's about letting them come together, letting them harmonize, and realizing that goodbye isn't really goodbye. It's more like I’ll see you later. A collective story that never stops unfolding. I'm glad we opened this door into this reality of us making music together again.”

At the end of 2024, Alabama Shakes came together again for a surprise reunion gig at the Bama Theatre in Tuscaloosa, AL, on December 18. After bringing the house down, they retreated to the studio and began crafting new music; those sessions yielded “Another Life” and more.

Alabama Shakes are currently on tour, headlining Amphitheaters, Arenas, and Festivals across North America. Tickets are available HERE.

Joining the Island Records family this year, Alabama Shakes will be unleashing more music in the near future.

ABOUT ALABAMA SHAKES:

Alabama Shakes have quietly emerged as the 21st century’s preeminent rock powerhouse whose uncanny brew of alternative, blues, soul, and roots is as intoxicating as it is inimitable. The trio—Brittany Howard [vocals, guitar], Heath Fogg [guitar], and Zac Cockrell [bass]—have garnered four GRAMMY® Awards, piled up billions of streams, reached multiplatinum heights, and performed to sold-out arenas and amphitheaters far and wide. Rising out of Athens, AL, their full-length debut Boys & Girls went Platinum, boosted by the likes of the Gold-certified “Hold On”—which Rolling Stone named “The #1 Best Song of 2012. In its wake, the seminal Platinum-certified Sound & Color bowed in at #1 on the Billboard 200. It received a GRAMMY® Award in“Best Alternative Music Album” while the Platinum-certified “Don’t Wanna Fight took home “Best Rock Performance” and “Best Rock Song.” It’s no wonder Pitchfork touted the record among “The 200 Best Albums of the 2010s.” Featured on The American Epic Sessions in 2017, “Killer Diller Blues” earned the GRAMMY® for “Best American Roots Performance. Alabama Shakes have become firmly embedded within the fabric of culture, contributing music to Academy® Award-winning films such as Silver Linings Playbook and Dallas Buyers Club and performing everywhere from The White House to SNL. Taking flight once more following a decade-long hiatus, the band’s fire burns brighter than ever in 2025 with a major headline tour and their first new music in ten years, beginning with “Another Life.

Modern Nature releases their hotly anticipated new album The Heat Warps today via Bella Union, a deceivingly encouraging collection through which Jack Cooper – the band’s main creative force – continues to explore themes of collectivism, our relationship with the natural world, the weight of consciousness with more directness and purpose. The collection has earned accolades spanning  Under The RadarBrooklynVeganEarmilkAquarium DrunkardFLOOD and today they share Lennon-esque final single Zoology, a contender for the best song Jack Cooper has written and a hymn to life on earth, unburdened by human consciousness

In the time Modern Nature has been a band, the world has undoubtedly changed. For all the grimmer realities of 2025 that the new album wrestles with, it is ultimately not a record entirely consumed by anxieties. Jack Cooper explains, “Every day we’re confronted with a confusing and scary world. Making music and creating things can sometimes feel flippant or unnecessary, but my own world view was defined and influenced by art and artists who weren’t afraid to highlight and offer solutions: Public Enemy, The Smiths, and a wider American counterculture.” The refreshingly optimistic record's themes and lyrics are directed toward the community they've built in their immediate life and with their fans who are "struggling to reconcile how they fit into an increasingly cruel world." It acts as a siren call to the community to double down with the hope that making an album that’s open, uplifting and ambitious is in itself can be part of the solution.

The Heat Warps features the core trio of Jack Cooper (vocals, guitar), Jim Wallis (drums) and Jeff Tobias (bass guitar) augmented by a new guitarist – Tara Cunningham. Be sure to catch Modern Nature on tour in the US this winter & UK this fall.
