Today, Canadian-Colombian pop auteur Tei Shi enlists Philly producer and percussionist Gloorp for the official “Drop Dead” Remix, out now on all DSPs. Gloorp injects his signature high-octane flair into the empowering and unapologetically honest track, layering in chaotic fills, polyrhythms, and cascading textures, twisting the original into a fractured, fever-dream-like production.

Tei Shi shares, “I started listening to Gloorp while backstage at shows over the last year. I'd be getting ready in the greenroom, getting myself hyped up for the show and ‘Gloorp em Up’ would get me so pumped and in a really cool headspace. Noah (who produced my new album with me) is from Philly, so he was on Gloorp early and showed me his music.” She adds, “It feels super cinematic to me...like a score for a really wild movie. I love that he was down to remix ‘Drop Dead’ and I *really* love what he did with the stems -- turning everything into percussion and playing it live on a drum pad. I feel like I'm a pop star in a video game when I listen to it.

The news follows the release of Tei Shi’s collaborative bilingual Summer anthem “222” ft. Loyal Lobos, as well as last week’s tour announcement. Tei Shi shared via socials that she will embark on a headline tour this Fall in support of her upcoming album Make believe I make believe, out August 29th. The 12-date trek includes nine newly announced shows, kicking off in Los Angeles on Sept 26th and making stops in Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, Toronto, Mexico City, Vancouver, San Francisco, and more before wrapping in Portland on November 23rd. HAERTS RELEASE JULIAN KLINCEWICZ - DIRECTED MUSIC VIDEO FOR “WOMAN ON THE LINE” with JENN WASNER of FLOCK OF DIMES TODAY

HAERTS RETURN
ANNOUNCE LAGUNA ROAD TO COME OUT 10.3

JULIAN KLINCEWICZ - DIRECTED MUSIC VIDEO FOR “WOMAN ON THE LINE” with JENN WASNER of FLOCK OF DIMES OUT TODAY

A FOURTH ALBUM FRAMING A CONFESSIONAL PORTRAIT OF FAMILY, MEMORY, AND THE SACRED MESS OF GROWING A LIFE TOGETHER

Today, the indie pop duo Haerts, reveal the Julian Klincewicz-directed music video for “Woman on the Line” HERE. Known for his years-long continued work with Haerts as well as Beyoncé, Virgil Abloh, and the latest Tame Impala “End of Summer” music video, Julian Klincewicz delivers a very intimate portrait of Haerts.

"Working with Haerts has been my longest running music collaboration, and one that always reinvents itself naturally - whenever I hear a new song, whatever direction it pulls, I always feel something deeply personal that inspires something visual, and there's always a two way understanding between Nini & benny. Sometimes it's a simple as a portrait - slowed down to feel every nuance of emotion. Sometimes it's like pulling a thread. With this video - the song strikes some deep personal chord, and there's a nakedness - uncovering one's emotions, just like taking off make up in the mirror." - Julian Klincewicz

The duo returned with the announcement of their fourth album Laguna Road, which will be released October 3rd. Thematically, the album frames a confessional portrait of family, memory, and the sacred mess of growing a family together. The duo, composed of Nini Fabi and Benny Gebert, wrote and recorded the album at home on Laguna Road, in the in-between spaces of everyday family life. They left the house in early 2025, having completed the album, to return to New York.

About “Women on the Line”, Nini Fabi explains: “The song is about taking ownership of my story and the choices that shaped me as a woman. It’s about the distance between how things look and how they feel - the pressure to keep it together while inside your world is coming apart.

It’s about isolation, acceptance, and the fragile nature of truth, and it came from a moment when I let it all fall apart.”

“Laguna Road is about looking back, a “piecing it together” album. Sonically we moved away from what we had done on our previous records. We wanted this album to feel raw and vulnerable. The songs move slowly and we leaned into that with a light hand on production.” adds Benny Gebert.

Nini Fabi explains: “I was sitting on the steps at Laguna Road, the house we had just moved into with our daughter. On paper, I had everything: a beautiful family, a home with the lemon tree, the hummingbirds, and the piano in the living room. But I was numb, isolated, and anxious in a way that felt permanent. I was at the edge of my thirties and on the verge of some kind of breakdown, and I kept asking myself how I had ended up here."

In the coming months, more singles will be shared leading up to the full Laguna Road album release on October 3rd.

About Haerts:
Haerts is the creative union of singer/songwriter Nini Fabi and multi-instrumentalist/composer Ben Gebert - a duo born in Munich, Germany, and artistically reborn in New York City. Lifelong collaborators, Fabi and Gebert, began weaving songs together as teenagers under the name Nini&Ben, a prelude to what would later become Haerts.

After moving to Brooklyn, they signed with Neon Gold and Columbia Records, where their debut single “Wings” took flight in 2012, becoming an early blog-era anthem and receiving heavy rotation on KEXP and SiriusXM. Their first EP, Hemiplegia (2013), produced by St. Lucia’s Jean-Philip Grobler, further revealed their luminous sound. The track “All the Days” was featured in the 2013 film Carrie and was crowned “Song of the Summer” by Elle magazine - a testament to the duo’s cinematic sensibility and emotional pull.

Their self-titled debut album HAERTS (2014) followed to critical acclaim, establishing the band as masters of melancholy-drenched pop - intimate yet expansive, nostalgic yet timeless.
With a voice like a memory and music that echoes wide open spaces, HAERTS has toured across the U.S. and Europe, sharing stages with London Grammar, Rhye, Washed Out, Shout Out Louds, and Michelle Branch. They’ve performed at Coachella, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, and Governors Ball, carving out a space for their ethereal anthems on the world’s biggest stages.

In 2016, they released POWER/LAND, a visual EP made in collaboration with artist Julian Klincewicz (Beyoncé, Virgil Abloh, Miu Miu), blending analog film and dream-pop textures into a multidisciplinary narrative. Their creative partnership continued with the evocative video for “For the Sky,” a song featuring Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear that was hailed for its haunting beauty.

Their second and third albums - New Compassion (2018, Arts & Crafts) and Dream Nation (2021) - delved deep into themes of personal evolution, longing, and spiritual endurance, reflecting the band’s ever-growing emotional landscape.

Haerts’ music has found a lasting home in pop culture, with placements in Good Grief, Moonshot, 13 Reasons Why, Love, Simon, Pretty Little Liars, Grey’s Anatomy, and Hightown. Their live performances have graced The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (CBS), Late Night with Seth Meyers (NBC) and further cemented their role in the modern indie canon.

In 2020, Gebert released his solo album, Triptych, via Arts & Crafts, a meditative and minimalist work that was nominated for a Libera Award. Two years later, the duo left the city and relocated to Pasadena, California. There, at a house on a quiet stretch of Laguna Road, a new chapter began. It’s from this place - sun-washed and soul-searching - Haerts’ fourth forthcoming album Laguna Road was born. Moving further away from the synth sounds of their earlier albums, the music on Laguna Road - centered around its confessional lyrics and warm, introspective vocals - is a fusion of minimal instrumentation and expansive string arrangements.

OSEES today have shared their new single "ABOMINATION," from their upcoming LP ABOMINATION REVEALED AT LAST, out August 8th via Deathgod. The new track is an off-kilter, blood-pumping explosion of angular guitars, pummeling drums, and unnhinged vocals. "ABOMINATION" follows previous single "FIGHT SIMULATOR," which earned praise and support from Brooklyn Vegan, Stereogum, The Line of Best Fit, and more.

"A LOVE LETTER TO DR STRANGELOVE. A BIG FUCK YOU TO WAR MONGERS EVERYWHERE," Dwyer says of the track. "WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO LINE UP WITH JOHN VALLE WHO HAD A GRIP OF OLD TROMA VIDEO PROSTHETICS AND A GREAT IDEA. HE SMASHED THIS ONE OUT OF THE PARK UNDER TIME CONSTRAINTS AND DURESS AND STILL MANAGED TO GET  LLOYD FUCKING KAUFMAN TO STAR IN IT  WE ARE BLESSED WITH THE MAN’S CONTINUED VIRILITY AND SELSE OF HUMOR. THANKS LLOYD, THANKS JOHN VALLE AND CREW THE SONG SPEAKS FOR ITSELF, I THINK  WAR FOR RESOURCES, WAR FOR RELIGION, WAR BASED IN FEAR, WAR BASED IN GREED. THERE IS NO RIGHTEOUS WAR . THERE IS ONLY WAR. ITS A STORY AS OLD AS TIME. OR AT LEAST AS OLD AS HUMAN WEAKNESS."

The 12 tracks on ABOMINATION... are a hypnotic, maniacal, and propulsive attack on the senses–a fitting reaction to a world suffering from genocide, environmental collapse, state sanctioned violence, progressing technocracy, and more. The album was recorded by Enrique Tena Padilla, Mario Ramirez  & Dwyer, mixed by Padilla and Dwyer, and mastered by JJ Golden. OSEES are John Dwyer (vocals/guitar/synths), Tom Dolas (guitar/samples/keys), Tim Hellman (bass), and Dan Rincon (drums).

"Well this album just channelled out of the mist of atrocities swirling around the planet right now," songwriter John Dwyer explains. "AI empathy, genocides, social media data collection & addiction, the alignment of tech billionaires with the fascist overlords and their armada of dogs, civilians being kidnapped by bootlicking thugs, the death of due process...the list goes on and on. It's been a long year already."

The band have a massive amount of tour dates lined up for this year, including shows at LA's Teragram Ballroom (7/17 + 9/30), Brooklyn, NY's Warsaw (10/25 + 10/26), and many more. The band will also be playing Glastonbury Festival on June 27th, which will be filmed and livestreamed on the BBC iPlayer. Full routing is below and tickets can be purchased here.

"ABOMINATION" is out today. Upcoming LP ABOMINATION REVEALED AT LAST is out August 8th Deathgod.

SPINAL TAP II: THE END CONTINUES FILM AND ALBUM OUT SEPTEMBER 12 WITH APPEARANCES BY PAUL MCCARTNEY, GARTH BROOKS, TRISHA YEARWOOD

PRE-ORDER THE ALBUM HERE

July 31, 2025 – Fictitious heavy metal legends Spinal Tap team up with music icon Elton John for an epic re-recording of the band’s classic cut “Stonehenge,” released today via Interscope Records. A music video for the song, featuring footage from the film, is also out today – watch the clip HERE

The soul-stirring single will appear on The End Continues, the forthcoming album for the mockumentary Spinal Tap II: The End Continues, out September 12 to coincide with the film’s theatrical release. The 13-track set includes nine brand new songs and four reinvented favorites featuring additional guests Paul McCartneyGarth Brooks, and Trisha Yearwood. Pre-order The End Continues HERE and find the tracklist below.

A new trailer for the movie, featuring a musical clip of “Stonehenge” premiered last week at San Diego’s Comic-Con 2025 after Rob Reiner and Paul Feig’s panel “Directors On Directing.” Watch the trailer HERE.

Destined to become an instant cult classic, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues picks up 41 years after the release of 1984’s groundbreaking This Is Spinal Tap, when now estranged bandmates David St. HubbinsNigel Tufnel, and Derek Smalls (Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer) are forced to reunite for one final concert. Documentarian Marty Di Bergi (Rob Reiner) returns as well, to try to capture his favorite metal gods as they contemplate mortality. Joined by music royalty like McCartney and JohnSpinal Tap wrestle with their checkered past to put on a concert that they hope will solidify their place in the pantheon of rock ’n’ roll.

“Stonehenge” looms large in Tap lore thanks to a prop gaffe captured in the first movie, where the band ordered an 18-foot high version of the monument but instead received an 18-inch one. They’ve performed the song many times since, with rocks of various sizes, and Tufnel even appeared on NatGeo’s 2008 Stonehenge: Decoded special to share his theories about the mysterious megaliths. For the new recording of the song, John brings his most arena-sized vocals to the mix, lording over shredding guitar, swirling synths, pounding drums, shrill pan pipes, and a full-band medieval jam session. Tufnel still holds down the eerie spoken parts.

Spinal Tap II: The End Continues will open in theaters and IMAX® nationwide on September 12, following a recent limited theatrical re-release of This Is Spinal Tap newly restored in 4K resolution. The original film — directed by Reiner and written/improvised/performed by McKean, Guest, and Shearer — released to critical acclaim and went on to become a cult classic that has directly inspired actual metal bands like Metallica, spawned the “turn it up to 11” idiom, and been referenced in pop culture ever since. In 2002, it was deemed “culturally, historically, and aesthetically significant” by the Library of Congress, and was selected for preservation by the National Film Registry.

Meanwhile, Tap have played on, reuniting for various tours, charity gigs, festivals, and TV appearances (including SNL and The Simpsons); collaborating with the likes of John Mayer, Cher, Slash, Adam “MCA” Yauch, and members of Fleetwood Mac, Foo Fighters, and Metallica; and releasing three albums: 1984’s This Is Spinal Tap, 1992’s Break Like the Wind, and 2009’s Back from the Dead, which was nominated for a Best Comedy Album GRAMMY® Award (all three charted on the Billboard 200).
