Today, Do LaB have announced the music lineup for North America’s original boutique festival, Lightning in a Bottle, returning to Buena Vista Lake in Southern California during Memorial Day Weekend from May 21-25, 2025.

LIB is your gateway to the extraordinary, a technicolor beacon for individuality in a monochrome world. It's a place where outrageousness is currency and fun triumphs over all - a journey hand curated by the counterculturists and party-people of Do LaB, dotted with surprises that continually reimagine what a festival can mean to its attendees. It’s not just about catching Lightning, this is your chance to be the electricity you wish to see in the world and have the best time of your life in the process - are you ready?

Music curation is an art at LIB. The 2025 lineup is stacked with some of electronic music’s most sought after talent, but this festival isn’t just about names on a poster. The Do LaB crew have dedicated their lives to redefining how music is experienced, designing stage atmospheres that bring out the absolute best from their artists, inspire joy, and promote connection. One minute you are seeing your favorite artist in a larger than life stage environment, the next you are seeing them go B2B with an under-the-radar DJ on a small community stage late into the night. It's wild, it's unpredictable, and it's all waiting for you.

LIB’s 2025 music programming criss-crosses electronic genres du jour, spanning from indie-electronic, house, and techno, to UKG and dubstep. Highlight acts include crossover super producer Jamie xx, meteoric Chicago tech house sensation John Summit, the inimitable UK selector Four Tet, pioneering psychedelic funk trio Khruangbin, and Compton DJ and beatmaker Channel Tres.

Other top billing highlights include British powerhouse Shygirl presents Club Shy, riddim royalty Subtronics, breakout star Sammy Virji, German electro-dance producer Monolink, iconic and unifying dance figure The Blessed Madonna, trap titan TroyBoi, and the return of legendary house producer and Dirtybird founder Claude VonStroke.

Indie music shines through on the 2025 lineup with acts such as synth pop duo Magdalena Bay, one of the most vital voices in Alt R&B Amaarae, Brooklyn brightlights and Book Club Radio founders Tinzo + Jojo, Toro y Moi and Poolside alumn Brijean, hyper pop princess Audrey Nuna, and Tamil-Swiss vocalist Priya Ragu.

Additional highlights include euphoric UKG flagbearers salute and Interplanetary Criminal, the recent global underground triumphs of Joy Orbison, fashionable twin sister duo Coco & Breezy, Haitian house star Francis Mercier, newly formed power duo Girl Math (VNSSA & Nala), melodic maestros like Sultan + Shepard (DJ Set) and Tinlicker, and bass favorites HamdiTape B, and PEEKABOO.

Rounding out the lineup, fans will be able to enjoy sets from Sama' AbdulhadiSofia KourtesisChloé CailletFlowdan, and KILIMANJARO alongside the next generation of showstopping talent represented by SYREETABIIANCOSicariaBianca OblivionAHADADREAMMary DroppinzKito, and more.

LIB’s musical journey guides attendees from its wildly immersive core stages Lightning, Woogie, and Thunder, onwards to its community-driven programming at The Stacks, The Junkyard, and The Grand Artique. Each stage features its own unique aesthetic, vision, and sound, balancing fan-favorite bookings with a constant sense of discovery.

The immersive Compass area offers a diverse array of educational opportunities to engage the senses, expand the mind, and inspire community action with topics that include indigenous cultures, psychedelic medicine, climate change, love & relationships, healthy eating, and more. Attendees can learn from the past and present in order to better integrate, collaborate, and thrive in our world’s future.

Lightning in a Bottle offers both three day and five day ticket options, as well as hotel packages. The three day pass will be available as part of the general on sale, and makes the LIB experience more accessible to those who’d like to build their own adventure at their own pace.

Other packages available this year include the return of Easy Peasy Pre-Set Camping and Pre-Set RV options, taking away any of the stress of setting up camp upon arrival and instead being met with the convenience of having accommodations taken care of from the outset. VIP options will also be available for guests looking for the joy of a camping festival with an elevated experience. VIP pass holders can find reprieve in backstage lounges at Lightning, Thunder, and Woogie, grab refreshments in these areas at exclusive bars, enjoy special pop-up interactive experiences, and much more.

Tickets to Lightning in a Bottle are now available via the festival’s official website.

PRAISE FOR MOTHLAND

"One of [New York’s] most exciting up-and-coming bands..."
– Rolling Stone

"More than anything, their sound is engineered to make you move..."
– Creem Magazine

"TVOD are elbowing their way out of Brooklyn’s young and burgeoning post-punk scene and into the spotlight, expressive and raw in both stage presence and sonic output."
– Alternative Press

""Mantis" is a blast of driving no-frills punk, capturing both the band’s irrepressible persistent energy and their surprisingly sticky melodies. It very much encapsulates the punk ethos of loud, fast, and simple, with blaring guitars, machine-gun percussion, and jittery melodies driving the track forward."
– Under the Radar

"TVOD is hellbent on bathing in the blood of punk rock infamy, trudging their own path and cutting through the noise in the glow of artists like Iggy Pop, Viagra Boys, or Warmduscher. Drenched in beer and sweat, the uncontainable raw emotion you experience while the band’s on stage is not lost on recording, although it’s definitely not something you’ll want to miss."
– Twnty Three (23)

"The shows are pure energy, pure chaos, and we think you will love them.  As a matter of fact, we highly encourage you to experience a show but warn that things can get pretty wild."
– Switch Bitch Noise

Release Bio:
Brooklyn-based rockers TVOD stand out with emotional, sometimes juvenile lyrics, paired with driving, catchy songs that never fail to get a crowd moving/moshing. Influenced by post-punk, egg punk and krautrock, TVOD effortlessly weave musical genres in a way that comes off seamlessly. “More than anything, their sound is engineered to make you move” (Creem Magazine). The brainchild of singer-songwriter Tyler Wright, the project draws from personal and external inspirations like the nightlife/music scene, heartaches, World War II, the untimely death of a beloved pet fish, and so on. TVOD’s vivid storytelling paints a gritty tongue-in-cheek picture of being a D.I.Y. artist grinding it out in NYC, complete with fabled tales about the degenerate lifestyle and all the good and the bad that comes with it.

TVOD gear up for their transatlantic trip to Les Trans Musicales (Rennes, FR) with the release of “Car Wreck”. Scheduled for December 3rd, 2024, this new track from the latest Mothland signees is the whole works: a krautrock-esque bassline and backbeat, fuzzed-out guitar licks, psychedelic synthesizer effects, as well as an absolute earworm of a melody in support of poignant lyrics about being reckless and embracing it. RIYL: Viagra Boys, Fountains D.C., Parquet Courts.

TVOD on the track, "Crash course derby with chronic guitar solos. You've always been crazy. This is just the first chance you've ever had to really express yourself. Félix Bélisle and Samuel Gemme co-produced the song. We were looking for somewhere to record and nothing was really speaking to us, until we heard La Sécurité’s debut, which they produced at Gamma Recording Studio in Montréal. We recorded over a couple trips from Brooklyn to Montréal, and slept on the floor at Mothland’s office and at the apartment of Turbo Haüs. "

TVOD BIO:
TVOD (Brooklyn, NY) bloomed into existence in 2019 via a high-energy cassette full of punk songs recorded by Tyler Wright on a Tascam  4-track tape recorder in the basement of a D.I.Y. space he was living in. Since then, the band independently released two EPs – Daisy (2020) and Victory Garden (2021) – along with singles “Alien”, “Mantis”, “Goldfish”, and “Poppies”, as well as two limited run 45’s, Creem Magazine describing their sonic palette as “a nod to traditional post-punk bands like The Pixies as well as newer ones like Dry Cleaning”.

Known for their raw, unapologetic and unpredictable stage performances, TVOD have extensively toured the US, Canada and Europe, performing at major festivals like SXSW, Hopscotch, Sled Island, and Concrete Jungle, all the while sharing the stage with acts like Warmduscher, Snõõper, Gustaf, Civic, and Soul Glo. As written by Anna Zanes of Alternative Press, the 6-piece "are elbowing their way out of Brooklyn’s young and burgeoning post-punk scene and into the spotlight, expressive and raw in both stage presence and sonic output”. She adds: “Balancing reflective lyrics with rowdy live energy, TVOD embody the true ethos of punk rock, and never fail to open up a good pit".

To set in motion “one of [New York’s] most exciting up-and-coming bands” (Rolling Stone), Wright handpicked a standout lineup of Brooklyn freaks, and is now joined, both live and in the studio, by: Mem Pahl on drums, Micki Piccirillo on bass, Jenna Mark on synthesizers, as well as Serge Zbritzher and Denim Casimir on guitar duty.  Fresh off recording with producers Félix Bélisle and Samuel Gemme at Gamma Recording Studio (Corridor, Population II, La Sécurité) in Montréal, Québec, TVOD are gearing up to release a new single entitled “Car Wreck” on December 3rd, 2024, their first via the Mothland imprint. Highly recommended for fans of alternative contemporaries like Viagra Boys, Fidlar or Jay Reatard, and punk classics such as Gang of Four or Wire.

One of the most dynamic rock bands to emerge in the aughts, White Denim will release their hotly anticipated twelfth studio album aptly titled 12 this Friday, December 6 via Bella Union. The new collection takes a radical step into funk & garage rock and has already earned acclaim spanning Under The RadarRelixJambase and Northern Transmissions. with radio airplay at KCRW, WFMU, WRUW, WXPN, KUTX and more! Fans can also tune in to NPR Into Music podcast for their episode with James Petralli December 5. Today, the band shares the official video for final album preview track "We Can Move Along" which revels in Petralli’s belief in the possibility of love enduring in a nourishing long-term relationship. He shares, “The music for ‘We Can Move Along’ was written by Matt Young. I suspect he was referencing Bowie's last record and maybe In Rainbows when he was composing but I haven't really asked. I tried to serve the parts and add complimentary textures in my production and arrangement. I like the ambiguity in my lyric-it doesn't hide anything but also doesn't offer a clean resolution. To me this reflects life more accurately than is typical in a song.”

Watch / Share: “We Can Move Along” Video

White Denim exploded out of Austin, Texas in ’08 with hyper-kinetic post-punk bangers and Petralli duly raced on through shifting line-ups and kaleidoscopic shades of soul, jazz and Southern rock, always with a feel of in-the-moment authenticity. Sonically and stylistically influenced by Nick Lowe, Jonathan Richman, Doug Sahm and Joe Jackson, 12 is the thrilling sound of Petralli vacating his low-tech comfort zone while documenting a turbulent and sometimes painful period for his family. As for so many musicians, the pandemic forced Petralli to radically rethink homelife and his creative process. Back in Austin, he and his partner Elaine were caring for her father, who passed in Spring ’21. After relocating to Los Angeles, he took on the role of home-schooling his kids, fitting in writing sessions when he could. With its yacht rock-esque uplifting melodies, the new collection is a direct response to some of these “turbulent times” refracted through the glass-half-full sunshine prism of Petralli’s worldview.
