(12 November) Bristol-formed, London-based outfit Oslo Twins today announce their new EP 'Tresor', out 14th February 2025 on new label Half-Normal Records (co-founded by the band's Eric C. Davies).

Oslo Twins are also sharing the EP's second taste in the shape of new single "I See Mountains", arriving ahead of their London headline at The Waiting Room next Friday, 22nd November, and a newly announced headline tour for 2025, with dates in Bristol, Southampton, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Produced by band members Eric C. Davies and Claudia Vulliamy in their East London studio, new EP 'Tresor' highlights a rejuvenated sonic depth for the London outfit, drawing influence from
Nation Of Language, Angel Olsen, This Mortal Coil, Everything But The Girl, Lamb, Chromatics, Grace Ives and Ladytron.

With its intricate trip-hop beat and ethereal folk melody, new single "I See Mountains" is an enthralling new taste of the 5 track project. Taking cues from Massive Attack and Anna von Hausswolf, the genre-bending song utilises soft synth pads, catchy electro-drums, a rich, earthy violin part (played by guest El Hinton-Hallows) and keys player Ed Lyness’ haunting grand piano.

The song sets a scene of ascension: "When the flood is over, baby, I won’t look behind me / Just above the estuary, that’s where you will find me". With its mesmerising marching tempo blended with sharply syncopated instrumentation, vocalist Claudia detailed the origins of the lyrical inspiration for the track:

"I wanted to create an image of the sublime, a kind of journey upwards into the sky. The phrase 'I see mountains' was originally my attempt to describe a strong emotional response to certain music, the images that were coming up in my head."

Exploring new territories both in their live and recorded sound, bringing electronic drums and clean synths to the forefront, Oslo Twins' music is venturing into cleaner, more expansive electronic territory.

Oslo Twins' new EP 'Tresor' is out Feb 2025 on Half-Normal Records. Oslo Twins headline The Waiting Room in London on 22nd November. New single "I See Mountains" is out now.
