(September 6, 2024) - Haich Ber Na shares his new single and music video “PE3” on the heels of announcing his debut album The Everyday due September 27th. The latest offering follows his previously released singles “Hallelujah!” featuring Paris Texas, “Sandringham” and “Running Circles," all of which provide glimpses into Ber Na’s colorful, complex and rebellious coming-of-age tale told from the perspective of the British working class. To underscore this message, he debuts a new version of the album's cover, comprised of each previously released single's artwork resulting in a panoramic view of his hometown neighborhood in Peterborough, England.
Speaking on the single he shares: “PE3” is the postcode of the centre of Peterborough UK, where I spent a lot of time running around as an adolescent. This was one of the last songs made for the album. It's about leaving your hometown, friends and moving onto a new life and feeling the mixed emotions of being nervous, excited for the future yet still reminiscing of the good old days "206 swerving the lanes, that was when we knew less, why did things have to change". I wrote the song from the idea of being in the final house party after prom where everyone is celebrating but knowing the next stage is coming. This song is defo a representation of the whole album in a way.
Keeping in line with the debut album’s title, Ber Na has always seen himself as a champion of the people. His music aims to speak to listeners on both a macro and micro level, saving a special place in his heart for the overlooked dreamers. His music defies easy categorization, as he blends elements of indie, electronica, and pop into the perfect backdrop for his introspective lyricism. Hailing from Peterborough, England, a city with a reputation for being one of the most depressing places to live in the UK, Haich Ber Na is no stranger to worldbuilding, an aspect of his artistry that has helped his music find its way onto FIFA soundtracks and Netflix’s drama series Elite. Fusing his eclectic aesthetic with elements of underground and commercial pop, he invites listeners to explore the complexities of the human experience.
Listen to “PE3” above and stay tuned for more from Haich Ber Na coming very soon. |
