In a continued effort to help lower the carbon footprint, Billie Eilish recently shared the tour’s sustainability plan. With sustainability being a prominent passion of Billie’s, she will continue her long-standing partnership with environmental nonprofit  REVERB on this tour, building on the fundraising and changemaking success of previous efforts, which resulted in over $1 million donated to environmental, greenhouse gas reduction, and climate justice projects, and more than 150,000 fan actions, 117,000 single-use plastic water bottles eliminated, and 8.8 million gallons of water saved.  Sustainability efforts on this tour include reducing greenhouse gas pollution, decreasing single-use plastic waste, supporting climate action, and updating concession offerings to promote and encourage plant-based food options with Support+Feed.

In keeping with her commitment to making a difference in the environmental impacts of her music and touring, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales in North America will go to REVERB and its ongoing effort to help support organizations across the country addressing the impacts of food insecurity and the climate crisis.

The Billie Eilish REVERB Eco-Action Villages will be set up at 2 locations in the main concourse of every show where fans can take part in the tour’s sustainability efforts, connect with nonprofits, and take meaningful action for people and the planet.

For collective action at the intersection of climate and food, Support+Feed will be launching a 360 campaign throughout the tour. Following the success in 2022, Support+Feed will offer an expanded version of the Support+Feed Pledge inspiring fans to eat one plant-based meal a day for 30 days with digital elements and community activations. Additionally Support+Feed will be hosting in partnership with local organizations, Non-Perishable Plant-Based Food Drives at select shows including: Baltimore, Detroit, Newark, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, St. Paul, Seattle & Los Angeles. Fans are encouraged to participate by donating items such as: canned beans, corn, peas, green beans, and rice.  Support+Feed takes action for a global shift to an equitable, plant-based food system to combat food insecurity and the climate crisis.

Fans are encouraged to join the effort to make the HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR more sustainable. Where possible, take public transportation and carpool to and from the shows to help reduce greenhouse gas pollution and encourage more public transportation options. Use Google Maps to plan a route with several options, whether it’s walking, bike-sharing, or taking public transport. For fans who have to drive, Google Maps will provide the most fuel-efficient route. Easy access to bike-sharing and public transport options makes it possible for fans to explore the most eco-conscious ways to travel. Fans will also receive information via email about public transportation options before the show.

For those looking to eat before or after the show, Billie and Google Maps have partnered to provide fans with various plant-based options. Just search for a tour city in Maps and scroll down on the city page to find the best plant-based options on your route.

Venue partners are also helping to lessen the environmental footprint of the tour. In addition to efforts to decrease waste through reducing or eliminating single-use plastics and diverting landfill waste with compost and recycling, venues will be offering plant-based food options at all shows.

Bring an empty reusable water bottle or donate for a custom RockNRefill Nalgene bottle to fill up at the free water refill stations located at each venue. The RockNRefill bottles and refill stations are located at the Eco-Villages in the main concourse at all shows. Fight fast fashion by opting for thrifted, upcycled, or borrowed clothes instead of buying new clothing to wear to shows.

On Friday, Billie EIlish shared the official music video for her critically acclaimed x2 RIAA platinum-certified single ‘BIRDS OF A FEATHER.’ Directed by Aidan Zamiri, the video follows a wave of accolades, including a current Number 1 at Top 40 Radio, three consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Global Charts. September 30th, 2024 - Sacred Bones & Back Lot Music announce the upcoming physical and digital release of Robin Carolan’s original soundtrack for Robert Eggers’ forthcoming film Nosferatu. The soundtrack is set for release on November 22nd and available to pre-order now; more information on variants below. The film is set to hit theatre nationwide on December 25th.

Robin Carolan’s latest soundtrack for the highly anticipated Nosferatu is a haunting, gothic-infused and meticulously crafted work that draws from a vast palette of sounds, instruments, and inspirations. Following their successful collaboration on The Northman, Carolan reunites with Eggers to bring the legendary tale of Nosferatu to life, infusing the film with a score that is as complex and nuanced as the story itself.

A new trailer for the film is released today along with two suspense-filled track from the soundtrack, entitled Goodbye and "Increase Thy Thunders.

With Daniel Pioro, one of Britain's most exciting young classical musicians, at the helm as the orchestra leader and first chair for a vast majority of the recording, the soundtrack for Nosferatu features a vast orchestration, including 60 string players, a full choir, various horns and woodwinds, a harpist, and two percussionists. This orchestral richness brings a profound depth to the score. “From the get-go, it was important to me that I not just write something you’d solely think of as a ‘horror score’,” Carolan explains. “I wanted to really lean into the melancholy, tragic aspect of the tale, and even make room for something akin to romance, albeit a very warped kind of romanticism.”

The involvement of Letty Stott, who previously worked on The Northman, adds a unique texture to the soundtrack. Stott brought with her an array of obscure, ancient horns and pipes, enriching the sonic landscape with sounds that evoke the eerie world of Nosferatu. The score also features custom-built instruments, such as a toaca-like device constructed by percussionist Paul Clarvis, which was used to add authenticity to certain scenes. “Nosferatu being set in the 1800s meant I was able to rely a lot more on contemporary instrumentation,” Carolan notes, “but it was still important to make sure the score wasn’t overly contemporary sounding.” Despite the grandeur of the orchestration, one of the most challenging pieces to create was the deceptively simple music box that plays at the beginning of the film. Carolan recalls how he and Eggers struggled to settle on the right sound, with Eggers having a very specific idea in mind. This meticulous attention to detail is a hallmark of their collaborative process, one that can be described as almost telepathic.

Carolan’s inspirations for the score were as eclectic as they were profound. He frequently drew upon the works of Bartok and Coil, while films like The Innocents, Angels and Insects, and Eyes Wide Shut provided cinematic inspiration. Additionally, he explored the more obscure side of Hammer Horror soundtracks and found a deep connection to the music of the Ukrainian film The Eve of Ivan Kupalo, which helped shape the score’s otherworldly tone.

For Carolan, working with Eggers on Nosferatu was both a dream and a challenge. “Rob had been talking to me about wanting to make Nosferatu for a very long time, so to finally see that happen and to actually be a part of it was a dream. Initially a very daunting, slightly terrifying sort of dream, but a dream all the same.” The result is a soundtrack that not only complements the film but also stands on its own as a testament to Carolan’s artistry and the enduring power of collaboration.

‘Nosferatu Original Soundtrack’ will be released physically via Sacred Bones and digitally via Back Lot Music on November 22nd, 2024. Pre-order links here.

Tierra Whack Releases New Video For "MOOVIES"

TIERRA WHACK IS A HOPEFUL ROMANTIC IN NEW VIDEO ‘MOOVIES’

Debut Album ‘WORLD WIDE WHACK’ Receives Universal Acclaim

WATCH HERE

(Los Angeles, CA – September 30, 2024) After releasing her critically acclaimed debut album WORLD WIDE WHACK, GRAMMY-nominated recording artist and creative auteur Tierra Whack (Interscope Records) teams up with world-renowned contemporary artist and frequent collaborator Alex Da Corte for her latest video, "MOOVIES." Unlike her last visual, "TWO NIGHT," "MOOVIES" is a unique and more playful take on Tierra's dating life, showcasing the good, bad, and ugly in a witty manner. She goes on numerous movie dates with high hopes to finally land the love of her life. Unfortunately, each date proves to be worse than the last, leaving her doubtful about romance. Yet, despite her woeful encounters, Tierra shows up to every date, faithful that there’s a partner out there for her. Tierra's colorful lyrics and Da Corte's creative direction are the perfect marriage, illustrating the genius behind WORLD WIDE WHACK.

Since its March release, WORLD WIDE WHACK has been a revelation, astounding both critics and fans alike. Variety praised the album: "WORLD WIDE WHACK is tender, fatalistic, colorful, and endearingly weird, a balance that can only be managed by someone with supreme curatorial instincts and the talent to swirl all the elements together." Pitchfork echoed this sentiment," saying: "Her eye for surreal, captivating detail loses none of its gleam."

In addition, WORLD WIDE WHACK remains one of the year's best albums nearly nine months after its release, making a dozen publications' "Best Albums Lists," including TIME, Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, Esquire, and more. Aside from dominating New York's venerated venue Webster Hall earlier this year to a sold-out crowd, she also crushed NPR's Tiny Desk, who hailed her performance as "One Of The Best Tiny Desks In History." Despite her flashy wins, Tierra has yet to hit pause, staying active and performing at numerous concerts and festivals. Last June, she joined Jill Scott to perform an unreleased song during The Roots Picnic while coming out during Childish Gambino's tour stop in Philly in August to do "MOOVIES."

With Tierra delivering her best artistic work to date, the transcendent rap star is proving why she's one of the generation's leading faces.
