Portland's own FEDERALE collective presents 'Advice From A Stranger', leaning into their psych-rock roots. As a 20+ year member of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, frontman COLLIN HEGNA has been party to a lot of feedback & fuzzed out guitars. Here, he is joined by Jared Molyneux (The Shivas) on guitar, Pat Spurgeon (The Dandy Warhols, Rogue Wave) on drums, and Ryan Lynn (Mission Spotlight, The Needs and guitar tech for The Decemberists, Metric, and The Lumineers) on guitar.
Their sixth studio album 'Reverb & Seduction' - marking Federale's 20th anniversary - will be released on July 12 via Jealous Butcher Records. Their most immersive and varied record to date, this is a tour-de-force road trip from psych rock to country duets, never straying too far from the spaghetti western roots that inspired the band many blood-moons ago. This music should appeal to fans of BJM, The Black Angels, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Dandy Warhols, The Mission, Echo & The Bunnymen, Roselit Bone and Spindrift.
Federale kick off their 'Reverb & Seduction' Tour on July 12 with a hometown show in Portland, which will see them tour through Oregon, Washingston state, Idaho, Utah, Nevada and California, eventually hitting Texas in autumn to perform at the Levitation Festival.
