Recent Praise for Fever Ray:

“[Radical Romantics] is their softest, most sensual yet, but it still retains Dreijer’s prickly edges.” — Stereogum, The 50 Best Albums of 2023 So Far

“Dreijer’s voice remains a minor miracle, careening from the domain of mythic creatures and discovering new wells of energy from this plane’s pleasures and torments.” — The FADER, The 50 Best Albums of 2023

“Dreijer’s songwriting, focused primarily on queer love and the complexities of adult connection here, speeds up into dance breaks and slows down into mournful dirges, but never loses the gravity of its audacious creator.” — Billboard, The 50 Best Albums of 2023 So Far

“[Radical Romantics is] as earwormy as it is uncanny, and as empathetic as it is unreal.” — NPR Music, Best Music of 2023

“It’s a complex, mesmerizing world Dreijer has created, full of intoxicating soundscapes, memorable melodies, and full-throated performances to match the emotions.” — BrooklynVegan, Top 55 Albums of 2023

“Radical Romantics puts its journey of self-discovery, emotion and passion out there for everyone to see, in all its pseudo-tropical, plastic-palm-tree and artificial beach glory.” — Resident Advisor, Best Albums of 2023

“A powerful transformative performance, leaving the audience speechless but far from motionless” - Record Collector

Wet shares new single "Double"

WET SHARES NEW SINGLE

(June 21, 2024) - New York City-based trio Wet return with their new single “Double.” Written and produced by vocalist Kelly Zutrau in collaboration with longtime creative partner Buddy Ross (Frank Ocean, Vampire Weekend, Miley Cyrus), “Double” marks Wet’s first single since their 2021 album Letter Blue.

Speaking about the story of how “Double” came into being, Zutrau shares:  “In early 2022 I flew out to Portland to work with Buddy for a couple weeks. The first day or two we didn’t get much done. I remember walking around together, talking, playing cards, drinking beer, avoiding starting. I felt completely uninspired. The first day that we went into the studio to start recording I found out I was pregnant. I was shocked, totally unprepared – I had spent the last 10 years or so dragging out my youth, trying to keep my whole life ahead of me for as long as possible. Uncommitted to any particular path, I had multiple lives going in my head. I kept them alive in my mind and in real life, feeding each one just enough to keep it going but never actually living any fully.

The first thing I felt was overwhelming grief for all of these lives, all of the potential and possibility all at once narrowed down into something that felt small. Something concrete and undeniable had happened, there was no thinking or talking my way out of it. A new life inside of me brought me down to earth and I was terrified. I had bounced between lows for as long as I could remember but I was very comfortable living in between things.

‘Double’ was the first song that started to take shape that week. I remember Buddy made a little bed in the studio so I could lay down while we worked (not necessary at 1 month pregnant but sweet and I took him up on it 😂) and now when I hear the song in its finished state I’m brought back to this exact moment in my life, this turning point that I was not ready for, this instant where I was propelled out from the fantasy that I had been living in, yanked from any last dregs of my youth. ‘Double’ is a record of this narrowing in of the many lives I had been half living, into one or maybe two.”

Additionally, Wet will be performing at Rockaway Hotel in Queens, NY on August 9th proceeding a string of European dates, where Wet will play shows in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Helsinki, slated for this October with support from Jam City on select dates.

Bursting onto the scene with their self-titled debut EP in 2014 via taste-making indie pop label Neon Gold, Wet moved to Columbia Records after for their two mostly understated albums, 2016's Don't You, which The New Yorker described as "a harbinger of a pop future that’s tantalizingly close," and 2018's Still Run, which Billboard called their "best project yet." In 2021, Wet released their aforementioned third full-length album Letter Blue via AWAL followed by their appearance on the Grammy award-winning Fred again.. album Actual Life 3 (January 1 - September 9 2022) on the track “Kelly (end of a nightmare).”  Wet also featured on Ralphie Choo’s recent debut album SUPERNOVA on the song “METAVERSE” as well as on the Rod Wave’s album Nostalgia

Check out "Double" above, see full tour routing below, and stay tuned for more from Wet coming soon.

As a response, the album will benefit independent abortion providers throughout the nation via Keep Our Clinics.
