SAN FRANCISCO, CA (February 6, 2024) – Hometown festival organizers Noise Pop Industries are proud to reveal today a new slate of events scheduled to take place during this year’s Noise Pop Festival as the San Francisco Bay Area’s premier independent music festival returns Thursday, February 22 through Sunday, March 3, 2024 for its 31st anniversary.
Beyond the dozens of music concerts, festival-goers can once again look forward to a jam-packed schedule full of happy hours, film screenings, art exhibitions, retail pop-ups, and so much more, all of which will take place nightly over the course of a full week in late February as Noise Pop transforms the streets of San Francisco into sprawling festival grounds.
New for the year, Noise Pop has teamed up with multiple poster artists from Flatstock with a special gallery available for free viewing at their offices (849 Valencia). Artist Kacie Hill will join on February 8 for the inaugural pop-up showing, while Jane Symmes will join on February 15, among a dozen other events scheduled to take place at the festival HQ later this month.
Plus, festival partners at The LINE San Francisco will be offering 20% off overnight stays for festival-goers who use the code ‘MAKENOISE” when booking their reservations. The LINE will also honor a 15% discount at their various onsite culinary concepts during the days of the festival including at Tenderheart, Rise Over Run, Alfred, and Dark Bar whenever a patron shows a Noise Pop Festival 2024 concert ticket stub or festival badge.
This year’s full event schedule is listed further below and available online at www.NoisePop.com with festival badges and tickets on sale now.
“As Noise Pop 2024 approaches, we are reminded even more now of why this festival is so special. It’s not just the music lineup but the creative and independent spirit of San Francisco which is best showcased through this incredibly eclectic schedule of festival programming that extends far beyond the concert stage,” said Noise Pop’s CEO Michelle Swing.
Regardless of personal tastes, music discovery abounds at this year’s weeklong festival as performers continue to span the musical gambit with a wide variety of 100+ previously announced acts that adorn this year’s roster.
Notable performers include Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Snail Mail, The Mountain Goats, DJ Tennis, Louis Cole, Suzanne Ciani, Cherry Glazerr, Ben UFO, Dehd, Jacques Greene b2b Nosaj Thing, Conducta, Alice Glass, Reverend Kristin Michael Hayter, Mount Eerie, although in total, a majority of festival performers have strong ties to the Bay Area, signaling Noise Pop’s consistent efforts to uplift the music community in its very own background.
These performances will soon unfold across many of the Bay Area’s most coveted music venues such as Great American Music Hall, Bottom of the Hill, The Chapel, Rickshaw Stop, Joe Henderson Lab at SFJAZZ, August Hall, Gray Area, Kilowatt, Bender's Bar and Grill, 1015 Folsom, Swedish American Hall, and the list goes on including Noise Pop’s debut at the Grace Cathedral which will feature several special and intimate concerts.
For over 30 years, Noise Pop has proudly upheld a tradition of supporting artists, celebrating fans, and creating community. This year, the Noise Pop Festival will be teaming up with Fandiem and Harness to support the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund: a nonprofit celebrating its 30th anniversary while providing assistance to all types of career musicians and music industry workers facing financial challenges amidst physical or mental health issues or disability. Since 2020, the organization has provided over $450,000 to Bay Area residents working in the music industry with more information available at sweetrelief.org.
Donations can be made online today at fandiem.com/noisepop. As a special incentive to those who donate, one lucky fan will be given a pair of VIP Badges to Noise Pop Festival 2024.
Festival organizers would like to thank this year’s sponsors including Waymo, Crossroads Trading, Brown-Forman (Fords Gin, Diplomatico Rum, Slane Irish Whiskey), Waterloo, The LINE SF, and SF Symphony, among others.
