California’s own indie-Alternative beach pop band DWLLRS drops their latest single and first release of the year “Float Through The Ceiling” out now via Boom.Records. The elastic new single reintroduces the two after a brief break from releasing music and details the whirlwind of their lives and headspace in that time. DWLLRS marry the light and airy sounds of beach pop/indie-alternative music with existential dread and continued examination of key themes including sex, love, death and life. Together they write, produce, mix and master everything they release themselves along with directing and editing their own music videos.
Since their inception in 2018 the band, comprised of Bren Eissman and Joey Spurgeon, has independently garnered over 180K followers on TikTok and over 4.5 million streams across platforms. DWLLRS earned co-signs from influencers and artists alike including Justin Bieber who shared their music on his IG story, Chelsea Cutler, Tessa Brooks, Indy Blue, David Hugo, and more. They’ve seen playlist support from some top playlists including Spotify’s Chill Vibes, Spotify's Fresh Finds, Zane Lowe's Apple 1 Show, Apple's New In Pop, and Tidal's Pop:Rising. The band has also seen press support from Ones To Watch, All Things Go, Earmilk, Early Rising, Lyrical Lemonade, Sheesh, and more.
