"The point is that if you have a taste for groovy, trippy, yet preternaturally focused fusion by musicians who know better than to let their adventure lead somewhere boring, you ought to tap in."
Stereogum

"A record filled with a wall full of fuzzy white noise that veers and clatters around like a wild Catherine wheel spinning out of control"
NME

"Disorienting emanations creep out of the wires, pulled back and forth by an invisible hand demanding dance. The record’s riffs push towards a headiness that’s somewhat bolted to the deck but constantly battling the cosmic winds that seem to keep swelling to tear it apart. It’s an embodiment of chaos in a bottle."
Raven Sings the Blues

"It’s incidental, a colour soaked soundtrack to a failed heist where the crim, high on dope, has a fever dream speeding a hapless getaway down flickering neon highways haunted by visions of perps, peers and the cops man, dig it!"
NARC Magazine

"A 40-minute slab of exploratory psychedelic space jazz"
Backseat Mafia

"Forty minutes of fried psych-jazz improvisation bursting with funk, exploding with sci-fi sounds and taking many a detour into realms far beyond the usual genre labels, it’s at turns fascinating, blissed out, urgent and compelling, with an unexpected change of direction never too far off in the distance."
Joyzine

"A rhythm-forward jam that brings heavy Can vibes"
Brooklyn Vegan

"The propulsion is trimmed a bit here for something of an undulating cloud of cool — squelched in satin and touching cosmic nerve."
Raven Sings the Blues

Tomorrow, Ryan SawyerGreg CoatesWilder ZobyAndres Renteria, and John Dwyer share their brand new album, Gong Splat, via Castle Face Records. Stereogum hosted the record's premiere.

Speaking on the record, John wrote:

"Gong Splat is a sort of sister record to WItch Egg.
Fried, improvised fusion recorded at home over the course of a few super relaxed days in the middle of a world in torment.
Triple synthesizers, guitar, double bass and percussion for days.
Enjoy some spontaneous music before the wolf chews through the door!"
