Today A Place To Bury Strangers release “Hold On Tight”, the 2nd single and video off of their upcoming album See Through You coming February 4, 2022 on Dedstrange.
This beautiful video was shot on 16mm film and Directed by Meriel O' Connell:
A couple escapes to a hotel occupied only by Oliver, Sandra, and John, whose converging worlds help each others' come alive. Their honeymoon phase quickly becomes explosive, but despite their qualms, it doesn't look like they'll be leaving anytime soon.
Meriel:
“Working with A Place To Bury Strangers, who's been a long-time favorite, was such a joy. I knew we needed to convey the same level of high-intensity that the band delivers-- I think we brought that wherever we went, from the video itself to the actual shoot. I've never laughed so much during a shoot, and that's something I'll always remember dearly.”
Mangled guitars, slamming industrial drums and a cathartic chorus singalong propel this uptempo noise-pop ripper dedicated to the grassroots community of true freaks who make this music possible.
