Singer, songwriter, producer, gamer and now successful podcaster mxmtoon is currently holding down the #5 charting spot on Spotify’s Music Podcasts after peaking at #3 last week for her show “365 days with mxmtoon.” The podcast which launched last September features a daily episode where 20-year-old Maia takes us through the most interesting, weird, and funny events of that day in history. She is also joined by special guests along the way. Released in partnership with Allbirds and The Talkhouse and you can subscribe to daily episodes here.  mxmtoon will also be included in Samantha Bee’s new special on gun control which will air 10:30p/ET on TBS Weds, May 12th where she will join other artists in voicing their frustrations with the current gun control laws.  May is Asian American & Pacifc Islander Heritage Month and mxmtoon is featured on not one but two Times Square billboards to celebrate her contributions. mxmtoon also recently announced her involvement in the next installment of the highly anticipated Life Is Strange gaming series. Created by Deck Nine Games and published by Square Enix, Life Is Strange: True Colors was announced to much fanfare around the world at SQUARE ENIX PRESENTS. mxmtoon will provide the singing voice for the game’s central character Alex Chen and provide a musical backdrop for the game. To celebrate the announcement, mxmtoon released a haunting reimagining of Radiohead’s iconic “creep” which is featured as part of the Life Is Strange soundtrack. Listen HERE.
