Acclaimed Irish artist Imelda May shares new track "11 Past The Hour," First taste of new music in three years

May explains of the track, “11 Past The Hour is the time for intuition and awakening and is known as a clear calling from the universe to become conscious and aware… The song is about the longing to feel unbound from worldly shackles and be ‘free for a while,’ the need for connection, to sense a higher power and to simply feel safe and loved.” Born and raised in The Liberties area of Dublin, May was discovered by Jools Holland and has gone on to become one of Ireland’s most famous female artists in Irish history. She has performed alongside notable artists including Lou Reed, Smokey Robinson, Jeff Beck and Van Morrison. May’s first ever limited edition spoken word poetry EP, Slip of the Tongue, was released earlier this year to critical acclaim, selling out within three days of release in the UK. 2017’s Life Love Flesh Blood LP was produced by T Bone Burnett and released to rave reviews. Burnett says of working with May, “I’ve never met anyone quite like Imelda May.
