Dear friends,
We hope this note finds you, your loved ones and your communities in good health and in high spirits (as much as we can be), during this particularly challenging time.
We look forward to being all together at our rescheduled tour dates in the future and will keep you posted with any updates.
In the meantime, here is a new poem that I'd like to share with you, in the hope that it will bring some hope into your day.
Grounded
We've been grounded
We've been made equal
Titles and trophies dissolved overnight
The strong and the weak, now nothing divides us
No wall, no water, no exit, no fight
We who cannot rest
We who are constantly distracted
By our failures, our hopes, our need for real connection
We've been gifted this time of solitude, together
Contemplation, together
Isolation, together
To consider our behaviours, motives and beliefs
Do we know how to be still and just thank the sky for today?
Do we know how to listen?
Do we know how to pray?
We can never control what is beyond our control
But we can give thanks for all that we do have ;
Tenderness, kindness, love, trees, sand, grass,
music, books, grass, rain, painting, sunshine, moonlight,
laughter, quietness, children, grandparents,
pregnant mothers walking around the house at night,
fathers, friends and our loving Creator
Who might be trying to get us to listen and be kinder to one another
