Everything Else Has Gone Wrong Out January 17 2020
Final Tickets On Sale Now For January/February 2020 UK Tour
Bombay Bicycle Club are pleased to share "Racing Stripes," the third track from their forthcoming fifth album, Everything Else Has Gone Wrong. The album is released via Caroline International/Island Records on January 17, 2020, and is the band’s first in five years.
The beautiful "Racing Stripes" represented a real breakthrough for the band during a brief period in Cornwall when vocalist Jack Steadman was finding it difficult to write. "It's a good example of the emotional rollercoaster you go through. I was like, this is it, I can't do this any more, and then the next morning you're like, ah, this is a really good song. The relief!" he says.
"Racing Stripes is the first song we've done where I feel you could have a lighter in the air and sing along to it," says guitarist Jamie MacColl. Its final refrain, a lilting loop of "This light will keep me going," speaks to the future, and to what they have achieved together, and will go on to make.
Watch the video for Racing Stripes, shot in the Lofoten Islands of northern Norway HERE
It’s a gorgeous, sweeping lament that offers a different shade to the band’s widescreen sound than the album’s introductory tracks of "Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You)" and its title track. The song welcomes the purest of supporting vocals from British folk artist, Billie Marten.
Already aired as a live session recording for Annie Mac’s R1 show, "Racing Stripes" is another fine advert for a record already shaping to be this unique British band’s finest, and of the year at large.
Largely written in Cornwall and recorded out in the US alongside Grammy Award winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent/Sharon Van Etten/War on Drugs), Bombay Bicycle Club have continued to grow, develop and evolve since the release of their debut album, I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose, back in 2009. Rarely in recent years has there been a British guitar band who have the craft and ability to avoid categorization whilst uniting hundreds of thousands of fans across the globe. With an innate ear for melody and invention, the four-piece are a very welcome return to the fold just as British guitar music makes a timely renaissance.
Bombay Bicycle Club welcome the new album’s release with a full tour of the UK in January/February. The shows kick off on January 20th at Cambridge Corn Exchange and wrap up at Ulster Hall in Belfast on February 12th. The run includes two nights at London’s Alexandra Palace, with many of those shows long since sold out and with only a handful of tickets left at the remaining dates.
US dates to be announced soon.

With an acclaimed debut album Geography, sold out shows across the globe, stratospheric streaming figures, collaborations with the likes of De La Soul, Loyle Carner, GoldLink and Novelist and support from John Mayer, Eric Clapton, John Legend and Elton John, Tom Misch has quietly but rapidly become one of the most celebrated artists of the last decade.
Today he takes it back to where it all began with the long awaited release of Beat Tape 1 on DSPs and vinyl (out March 27th 2020, pre-order here ). First released on Soundcloud and Bandcamp in 2014, Beat Tape 1 was an early showcase of Misch's singular skills. Remastered and now featuring the previously unheard "Marrakech" , this collection of low-lit instrumentals perfectly weaves elements of jazz, soul and hip hop, composed, performed, and mixed by the polymath himself. Beat Tape 1 takes inspiration from one of Misch's key influences, J Dilla.
With a joint album with drummer, producer and jazz innovator Yussef Dayes set for 2020, Misch's musical artistry and restless experimentalism will undoubtedly continue to push the boundaries of writing and production in unexpected and enthralling ways.

TOM PETTY TRIBUTE SONG
“FOR REAL—FOR TOM” OUT TODAY ON DARK HORSE RECORDS
FEATURING JAKOB DYLAN, DHANI HARRISON, AMOS LEE, LUKAS NELSON, MICAH NELSON
AND WILLIE NELSON
ALL NET PROCEEDS BENEFIT THE MIDNIGHT MISSION
cover artwork
Acclaimed musicians Jakob Dylan, Dhani Harrison, Amos Lee, Lukas Nelson, Micah Nelson and Willie Nelson have joined forces to record “For Real—For Tom,” honoring the late Tom Petty. The moving tribute is a cover of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers’ song “For Real,” which was released in February as part of The Best Of Everything (Geffen Records/UMe), the first career-spanning collection of Petty’s hits—including songs from his solo projects, songs with The Heartbreakers and essentials from the reformed Mudcrutch.
“For Real—For Tom” premiered exclusively on SiriusXM’s Tom Petty Radio (ch. 31) yesterday, and is out now everywhere via Dark Horse Records. Just in time for the holiday season, all net proceeds benefit The Midnight Mission—a comprehensive homeless shelter and homeless services provider is Los Angeles—an organization very dear to Petty and for which he significantly supported throughout his career. Listen/share “For Real—For Tom” HERE.
Petty lived his life with authenticity and truly prioritized the music and his fans. This sentiment embodies the lyrics of the poignant and autobiographical song “For Real,” and it is brought to life once again in the emotional and powerful performances by the collaborators on “For Real—For Tom.”

JAMES BLAKE SHARES MUSIC VIDEO FOR “I’LL COME TOO” FROM GRAMMY NOMINATED ALBUM ASSUME FORM
JAMES BLAKE SHARES MUSIC VIDEO FOR “I’LL COME TOO” FROM GRAMMY NOMINATED ALBUM ASSUME FORM
DIRECTED BY PLANET EARTH EDITOR MATT MEECH

GRAMMY® Award-winning artist James Blake has unveiled a music video for “I’ll Come Too”.
Watch it HERE.
“I’ll Come Too” remains a standout from his GRAMMY nominated, critically acclaimed fourth full-length, Assume Form [Republic Records].
For the music video, Blake enlisted the talents of director Matt Meech - renowned for his work as an editor on the award-winning Planet Earth, Blue Planet, and more for the BBC.
Regarding the visual, Meech commented, “It was an honor to be invited onto the ‘I’ll Come Too’ project. James was keen to make a music video that involved animals in some way. Once I heard the beautiful track, I knew I had to be a part of it. I started my career editing music videos, twenty years ago, and music has always been a big part of my storytelling technique.”
Utilizing footage from Planet Earth II, the music video follows the fictional love story of unrequited love between a penguin and an albatross.
Meech added, “I remembered some footage that we didn’t use on Planet Earth II that I thought might be useful. Both birds look quirky, elegant and beautiful, the Albatrosses have an unusual mating dance, which the penguins watch from afar and the mysterious backdrop of the Snares island, off the coast of Southern New Zealand, is a truly unique landscape.”
Blake’s fourth full-length Assume Form has clocked over 300 million cumulative streams to date and has been included on the “Best of 2019” lists for outlets including Time Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, Billboard, DJ Booth and Esquire.
