THE CHATS UNVEIL NEW VIDEO & SINGLE
After finding viral fame with their single "Smoko", the unhinged Australian punks prove they are here to stay

"The band are hardly resting on their laurels" -
Revolver Magazine

July 31st, 2019

After achieving viral fame in 2016 with a video for their song "Smoko", The Chats have proven to be quite the enduring force, beating the odds of most flash-in-the-pan internet fame. They've won real fans around the world, including big names like Dave Grohl and Josh Homme, who both made a point of attending the bands first LA show earlier this month and hanging back stage (photo below).

The band have just finished their first ever US tour, on which nearly every venue had to be upgraded to accommodate demand, and in keeping with their tireless work ethic, have released another video. "Identity Theft" sees the band confront anonymous hackers who have locked frontman Eamon Sandwith in his computer, where he's forced to watch as all his secrets are unveiled. It's classic Chats, in that it's high octane, absurd, and NSFW.

"Identity Theft" follows their single and video "Pub Feed" from earlier this year, as the band builds up momentum for their debut LP.

"Identity Theft" Official Music Video

Facts about The Chats

✺ Josh Homme personally requested the band to open for the Queens of The Stoneage, after being sent the Smoko video from Dave Grohl.

✺ Drummer Matt got expelled from a school for stealing a golf buggy and driving it around

✺ Smoko video has over 7.5 million views (and counting!)

✺ Guitarist Pricey has never read a book from start to finish.

✺ The band all turn 20 this year.

✺ On their recent Australian tour, Idles covered SMOKO during their set.

✺ After their sell out debut UK tour last year, the band will be playing Reading and Leeds this year.

✺ Drummer Matt is a pro skater.

✺ Eamon worked at Coles.

✺ To maintain his lucious Mullet, Eamon trims the front every coupla weeks, and when needs be, his mum trims the back.

Lolo Zouaï announces her UK and EU High Highs to Low Lows Tour, a 15-city run where she will be returning to Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Berlin, Dublin, London, and more. Following the release of her debut album High Highs to Low Lows, Lolo is also sharing a new emotive and personal, self-directed visual for album track "Summers In Vegas." The song speaks on Lolo's childhoods spent in Vegas where her father had a pizza restaurant. The hazy and nostalgic video feeds directly into the lyrical content, seeing Lolo driving back to Vegas and exploring her childhood memories of Sin City.

Here to "fuck up the POP peace", High Highs to Low Lows, Lolo's debut 12-track album, includes title track "High Highs to Low Lows", fan favorites "Blue" and "Desert Rose" as well as Lolo's huge single "Ride", which launched Lolo's 2019 and followed on from the release of Lolo's double a-side single "Ocean Beach", which included the self-produced "Lose Myself" and the Blood Orange collaboration"Jade."

Born in Paris, raised in San Francisco and now residing in NYC, Lolo Zouaï is a result of her varied surroundings; an incredible and beautiful hybrid of talent. With the ability to turn the mundane into divine poetry, Lolo weaves everyday stories and sentiments into powerful songs. Having featured in campaigns for Coach, Nike and Tommy Hilfiger, Lolo's super star potential hasn't gone unnoticed in the world of fashion either, with coverage from the likes of Voguei-D, Wonderland, Hunger Magazine, Schön and beyond.

Zouaï's breakout single High Highs to Low Lows was released at the end of 2017, and saw her catapulted into the limelight - with over 12 million streams worldwide and forging the way for her debut sold-out tour across 5 countries and consequently, a support slot on tour with Alina Baraz. Off the back of a 22 city North American headline tour and with support from The Guardian, Complex, Vogue, Wonderland, Sunday Times, The Fader, Clash Magazine, High Snobiety and more, Lolo is a firm one to watch for 2019. As promised, Lolo is returning to the UK and Europe for another tour this autumn.

“Solutions reveals a woman unbowed by social pressure, angry by adulthood’s lies and aware of her insecurities but not defined by them.” – Associated Press

“K.Flay methodically tosses aside feminine stereotypes...and stacks up handclaps, guitars and noise behind her gleeful autonomy." - The New York Times

"Beautiful pop-rock with a lot of energy, sharp lyrics, very strong perspective of a queer independent woman." – NPR

“Impactful lyrics have always been important to K.Flay, and that's something that she made very clear on her third album, Solutions.” – Billboard

"K.Flay is nothing less than fully authentic in her new studio album Solutions." - NYLON

"A fizzy blend of jock-jam worthy rock and sugary pop." - PAPER Magazine

"K. Flay is a truly singular talent that is both innovative and entertaining and Solutions is poised to prove this point to the world." - Under The Radar

----------------------------------

Following the release of her third full-length album ‘SOLUTIONS,’ which dropped earlier this month on Night Street/Interscope RecordsGRAMMY® Award-nominated artist K.Flay has delivered another compelling visual, this time for her latest single ‘Sister.’

Picking up from where the ‘Bad Vibes’ video left off, ‘Sister’ is the second part of a visual trilogy that continues the themes of sisterhood and support. Having escaped captivity (from the ‘Bad Vibes’ video), K.Flay and a female companion have broken free, only to find themselves in a world where everyone else seems to be moving backwards. The video was directed by Clara Aranovich and shot in Downtown Los Angeles. Fun fact: Kristine and her ‘Sister’ are the only ones moving in forward motion while the world around them is moving in reverse – To create this, Kristine had to learn the song completely backwards (in phonetic gibberish). Watch the video for ‘Sister’HERE.

In other news, K.Flay has launched the first of its kind music-focused “microcast” (a shorter form podcast) expressly designed and produced for smart speakers (Amazon and Google Home) around the world. “What Am I Doing Here” is hosted and curated by K.Flay and features conversation, jokes, musical interludes and special guests including Sam (X-Ambassadors), Bishop BriggsMichael (Fitz and the Tantrums) and many more friends and family. Equipped with a mobile studio including high quality microphones for her iPhone, apps for recording phone calls and more, "What Am I Doing Here" is recorded 100% live. Whether she decides to record in a supermarket, on the tour bus, or on the phone with her mom or kindergarten age niece, the idea is to transport the listener into her world versus the standard studio recordings. To listen on Alexa, simply say “Alexa, enable K.Flay show” and on Google Home, say “OK Google, talk to K.Flay show.”

This fall, she is also confirmed to perform at Austin City Limits as well as embarking on THE SOLUTIONS TOUR, which kicks off on September 3 in Phoenix, AZ. Following a 19-city run in North America, she’ll venture abroad for the UK and European leg of the tour, performing in London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Berlin, Stockholm, Prague, Munich, Frankfurt and more. For tickets and more information, go to: www.kflay.com/tour

ABOUT SOLUTIONS
In the Summer of 2018, she re-teamed with frequent collaborators Tommy English [Ariana Grande, Kacey Musgraves, Thirty Seconds to Mars] and JT Daly [Mutemath], as well as Joel Little [Lorde, Taylor swift, Khalid] and CJ Baran. Recording in Los Angeles and Nashville, she widened the scope of her signature style, incorporating a variety of analog synths along with live bass and guitar, bobbing and weaving between pop, rock, hip-hop, and electronic moods.

“The title SOLUTIONS came to me really early in the process,” she goes on. “The solution to almost every problem is usually really simple. For me, it’s so basic: staying connected to the people I love, taking care of myself the way I’d want my friends to take care of themselves, and doing things I knoware going to make me happy – not what social media or strangers or society tells me. So many of my past records were about problems. Right now I’m in a place where I’m looking for some light. Balance is important. Life doesn’t have to be chaotic in order to be meaningful.”

The first single from SOLUTIONS is “Bad Vibes,” which slips clever quips such as “You’re the sequel that sucks”between a siren swell of synths, thick percussion, and an unshakable and undeniable chant, “You give me bad vibes…” Propelled by resounding piano and nimble rhymes, “Good News” leaps over glitchy beats and into a reminder that we can be “our own best friend.” Something of a spiritual successor to her Grammy-nominated “Blood in the Cut.” The frosty and fiery anthem “Ice Cream” serves up “a breakup song that isn’t too heavy.” On the other end of the spectrum, the uber-personal “Sister” delivers a heartfelt message of sisterhood as she claims, “I wanna be your sister till the end.” “My sister and brother aren’t biologically related to me, and I always wanted them to be my ‘real siblings’,” she goes on. “It was important for me to dedicate this song to them. On a larger level, I believe sisterhood should be available to everybody, regardless of gender. Sisterhood is about creating your own family.” Also featured on her latest album is the Dan Reynolds co-penned “This Baby Don’t Cry,” which The New York Times called"post-punk,” and praising K.Flay for “ methodically [tossing] aside feminine stereotypes.”Most recently, Los Angeles based artist released Not In California.” Produced by Tommy EnglishK.Flay delivers her trademark grit and spitfire lyricism in yet another thundering foot stomper. Speaking about the song, she reveals: "We’re not in Kansas anymore.’ I think we all know that sensation. Of being in a place that resembles the world you know, but feels different somehow. and the difference is unsettling and disorienting and scary. These days I’ve been feeling a bit like Dorothy. I see the plastic islands and the melting glaciers and the 24-hour news cycle where people shout because loud seems to win and I think to myself. ‘We’re Not in California anymore.’

SOLUTIONS is out everywhere now.

KACY HILL Releases New Track "To Someone Else"

Kacy Hill
“To Someone Else”

Today, pop phenom Kacy Hill releases the magnetic, midnight-in-the-80s-esque slowburn “To Someone Else,” her first new song since last year’s “Dinner.” The song, produced by Francis and the Lights, BJ Burton, and Jim-E Stack, is available now via all DSP’s. A video for the track, co-directed by acclaimed director/photographer Chuck Grant and Hill herself, is also out today and can be seen HERE.

Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, Kacy Hill moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18 where she began her career in modeling, all the while writing songs in her spare time. In 2013, she was hand-selected by Kanye West’s creative collaborator, Vanessa Beecroft, to appear onstage as part of the cast for West’s YEEZUS tour. While on the road, West heard Kacy’s song Experience -- the second song she had ever recorded. She was signed to his label G.O.O.D Music soon after.

Kacy's musical career blossomed from that point on, and she carved a space of her own in both fashion and music. She featured on Travis Scott’s 2015 album Rodeo, and appeared in Vogue, W Magazine, and on a cover for V Magazine. She released her first EP - "Bloo" in fall 2015, followed by Like a Woman, her first full length album, in the summer of 2017.

Since then, Hill has begun releasing her own music on her own terms; “To Someone Else” is the first of many new songs to come. She also has picked up competitive weightlifting, proving her strength goes well beyond her approach to life or her own incredible talent.

Fans who didn’t get to see Hum perform before they disbanded in 2000 will get a chance to finally do so at this year’s Dia De Los Deftones after a nearly 20 year hiatus.
