Even though Death By Unga Bunga are still considered to be fairly young men, they’re actually celebrating their ten year anniversary as a band in 2018. Rock band, to be precise. To commemorate this, they are releasing their fifth album, So Far So Good So Cool. A title that summarizes their career- so far pretty good.
The past couple of years for Death By Unga Bunga have been prolific and exciting in particular, starting with the 2016 release of their fourth album Pineapple Pizza. Never ones to rest on their laurels, they quickly followed that critically praised album with a remastered edition of their debut LP Juvenile Jungle, and a brand new four song EP Fight to round out the year.
In 2017 they stayed busy on the road, touring all over Scandinavia, the UK, Germany and Benelux. They also made two separate trips to North America, playing gigs from coast to coast in the spring, and returning this past fall to join punk rock legends Stiff Little Fingers as supporting act on their 40th Anniversary Tour.
On the heels of these exploits, DBUB are proud to announce that their fifth album, So Far So Good So Cool, will be released on April 6th. In a break with their previous efforts, this time around the band produced the record themselves, giving it a more personal touch. Fans of the band and new converts will find the guitar riffs catchier, the solos wilder, and the songs faster, louder and funnier than ever. Death By Unga Bunga epitomize everything that’s fun and great about rock ‘n’ roll, and this new album will surely help them further along their “life-long quest to show people how NOT to suck.”
