The appearance by Zimmer, who will be touring the U.S., Australia, and Europe this summer, was a first of its kind for the popular music festival with the legendary composer bringing a full orchestra with him to the desert venue.   Zimmer's set featured music spanning his multi-decade career including music from THE LION KING, PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN, THE DARK KNIGHT and INCEPTION. The famed composer, whose concerts are famous for their special guests, was also joined on stage by his frequent collaborator Pharrell Williams to perform Williams' hit song "Freedom".   Audience members at the festival and those watching Zimmer's show stream online took to social media to praise the set for standing out as a highlight of the weekend and for the epic nature of the performances.   "I am overwhelmed by the response to our Coachella performance this past weekend," stated Zimmer.
