After packing cinemas and collecting rave reviews around the world, THE DAMNED: Don't You Wish That We Were Dead is coming to home video on May 20th.

Hailed as "excellent" by Uncut, "fascinating" by The Arts Desk, and "funny, fast-moving and gloriously chaotic" by The Hollywood Reporter, the film was directed/produced by Wes Orshoski, and is the first fully authorized documentary on punk pioneers The Damned.

Ireland's Hot Press raves: "Orshoski came onto our radar with the acclaimed Lemmy documentary in 2011 [which he co-directed/produced] and has once again created a tour de force, presenting an entertaining and searingly honest depiction of the grievously overlooked punk legends."

Filmed around the globe over three years, and world-premiered at SXSW 2015, THE DAMNED: Don't You Wish That We Were Dead tells the story of the third prong in the holy trinity of U.K. punk. In advance of both the Sex Pistols and the Clash, The Damned was the first U.K. punk band to release a single (1976's immortal "New Rose"), the first to release an album ('77's frenetic Damned Damned Damned), and the first to tour America (planting their flag at CBGB in April 1977). Now in their 39th year, The Damned are the only band from London's 1976 Punk Rock Big Bang still touring the world today.

In addition to Damned founders Captain Sensible, Dave Vanian, Rat Scabies and Brian James, the film includes appearances by such one-time bandmates as The Pretenders' Chrissie Hynde, Mick Jones (The Clash) and Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead, as well as such rock and/or punk luminaries as Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), Steve Diggle (Buzzcocks), JJ Burnel (The Stranglers), Dave Gahan (Depeche Mode), Billy Idol, Ian MacKaye (Minor Threat/Fugazi), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Keith Morris (Black Flag/Circle Jerks/OFF!), Dexter Holland (The Offspring), Jack Grisham (T.S.O.L.), and more.

Taking its name from the title-track of the Damned's 1979 album, Machine Gun Etiquette, the film charts the band's unique history, bitter infighting and legendary bad behavior (drummer Scabies is blamed for creating punk's "gobbing," or spitting, phenomenon); it takes viewers into the toilets once scrubbed by Captain Sensible and viewers follow the Damned on their world-wide 35th anniversary tour in 2011 -- with estranged band founders Scabies and James seen on screen answering that trek with a snarling celebration of their own. In a bizarre twist of fate, other former members find themselves being treated for the same form of cancer by the same doctor in the same Welsh cancer ward; elsewhere, the band's founding members are seen grappling with their legacy, and the fallout from missed and/or bungled business decisions that have kept them painfully working class for most of the past four decades.

The Arts Desk: "Where many music documentaries have a similar dynamic arc-rise, fall, rise again-Don't You Wish That We Were Dead is a fascinating, rambling saga that emanates a rich, sometimes morose, sense of what it's really like to have a whole life defined by the oh-so-brief explosion that was punk rock."

In the bonus features, Captain Sensible takes viewers on a tour of Croydon, the south London town that gave rise to the Damned, and he busks on the streets of Hollywood with actor/musician/comedian Fred Armisen, a huge Damned fan. Elsewhere, the full story of the band's involvement and eventual ousting from the Sex Pistols' fabled Anarchy in the U.K. tour of 1976 is told in detail for the first time.

In the film, The Damned is credited with helping to ignite the punk scene in America. In 1977, the Damned were the first of the U.K. punks to play in both New York (at CBGB) and Los Angeles (at the Starwood).

In 2010, The Huffington Post's Binky Phillips recalled the band's U.S. debut at CBGB in early April 1977: "I was down at CBGB with a chip on my shoulder. My town was Punk Ground Zero.... I was, in fact, without a struggle, reduced to fan boy within 30 seconds. It was as if the entire evening proceeding them had been in black and white and suddenly we were thrust into Technicolor Oz."

The Damned kick off a West Coast tour in April, which includes two appearances at Coachella (April 16 & 23), as well as stops in San Francisco (April 14, Great American Music Hall); Solana Beach, CA (April 19, Belly Up); Pomona, CA (April 20, The Glass House); and Los Angeles (April 21, The Roxy).

The band officially kicks off its 40th anniversary tour on May 20 with a sold-out gig at The Royal Albert Hall in London.

Following 2015's Fated LP, Nosaj Thing is back today to announce a new EP set for release on April 8th. NO REALITY, which also shares a name with his new audio-visual tour with esteemed visual artist (and frequent collaborator) Daito Manabe, is a 5-track offering to be released by Innovative Leisure. Check out NO REALITY cut "N R 2" above now.

Nosaj Thing will showcase NO REALITY material on his forthcoming performances with Daito Manabe, a run that is bookended by Coachella appearances with shows in Brooklyn, San Francisco and Los Angeles in between. The shows will feature technology applications drawn and evolved from their their previous collaborations together on Nosaj Thing's "Eclipse/Blue" and "Cold Stares" music videos, which includes Augmented Reality, 3D scanning and motion capture.
Daito has become well-known in the music space for his work with artists like Bjork, Squarepusher, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Perfume, with which he premiered some of these same techniques during their SXSW performance in 2015. In discussing their latest video, Wired UK points out the effectiveness of Daito's focus on switching between worlds. "The [result] is both jarring and seamless, shifting between real and virtual realities so quickly that the line between the two worlds vanishes." This is the goal ofNO REALITY collaboration, to give the audience a truly transportive live experience. "We are constantly experimenting and thinking of ways to create a new form of performance by utilizing technologies such as machine and deep learning," adds Manabe.

The NO REALITY vision was birthed with their first live performance together at Taico Festival in Japan last year, however the US premiere is the initial realization of the dream. While Nosaj has been known for his leading edge visual shows, the Daito live performance promises to be a mind-blowing revelation. Plans are being formed now for the next set of US tour dates, for Fall 2016.

In the meantime, check out the cover art for the NO REALITY EP and first track "N R 2" above now and see below for all EP details and tour dates.

The Horrors and Fanfarlo members unite with Rose Elinor Dougall (Mark Ronson, The Pipettes) to form new band
INNERSPACE ORCHESTRA, the new project of Tom Furse (The Horrors), Cathy Lucas (Fanfarlo) and Rose Elinor Dougall (Mark Ronson, The Pipettes) are pleased to announce news of their debut singleOne Way Glass. The band today reveal the video directed and animated by Alden Volney. View it here
Already acclaimed in their own right with their own projects, the track was the result of an impromptu recording session, revealing the multi-facetted trio in perfect union and brought about the birth of INNERSPACE ORCHESTRA.
One Way Glass hints at the past work of all three artists whilst retaining an altogether fresh and unique outlook. Taking Tom's flair with synthesizers, Cathy's rich instrumentation, Rose's charming and composed vocal delivery and a shared love of soaring shoegaze guitars, the band impress with an expansive, widescreen sound.

White Lung Unveil "Kiss Me When I Bleed" and Announce U.S. Tour

WHITE LUNG RELEASE NEW SINGLE "KISS ME WHEN I BLEED" OFF OF FORTHCOMING ALBUM
PARADISE - OUT MAY 6TH ON DOMINO

US & CANADA TOUR ANNOUNCED

LISTEN / SHARE "KISS ME WHEN I BLEED" HERE

Fresh off of a victorious SXSW, White Lung release another stellar track off their upcoming fourth studio album Paradise, due out May 6, 2016 on Domino. Front woman Mish Barber-Way explains, "'Kiss Me When I Bleed' is about pride. That kind of steadfast, I-don't-give-a-fuck-I'm-in-love pride in that we all wish we had for someone. This song is my fairytale. Riches to rags and happily ever after because nothing else in this world really matters except love." Synthesizers? Nope. That's Kenny William's guitar.  He has reworked and re-pitched his parts resulting in what Annie Clark (St. Vincent) compares to evil mosquitos - a bit off and unsettling.

This second cut, follows up the release 'Hungry', which received 'Best New Track' from Pitchfork, who said "propelled by ringing guitars and Way's piercing vocals, the track is a tightly-wound, catchy-as-fuck invective played at a polished, breakneck velocity." Also, noting the band is "ostensibly teetering on the edge of a major breakthrough."

White Lung will tour extensively throughout the US and Canada summer. The band will kick the tour off on release day in Toronto, followed by a Record Release show at Baby's All Right in Brooklyn, NY. Other highlights include an appearance at the inaugural Panorama Festival, Montreal's Osheaga Festival and Levitation in Vancouver.

For the making of Paradise, vocalist Mish Barber-Way, guitarist Kenneth William and drummer Anne-Marie Vassiliou reconnected in Los Angeles to work with producer Lars Stalfors (HEALTH, Cold War Kids, Alice Glass). In October of 2015, White Lung spent a month in the studio, working closely with Stalfors to challenge what could be done with their songs. Bringing all the energy, unique guitar work and lyrical prowess the band are known for to the studio, White Lung curated their songs with a new pop sensibility, focusing in on making a record for the present - "I wanted a record that sounded like it was made in 2016", said William. Mixed by Stalfors and later mastered by Joe LaPorta, Paradise is their smartest, brightest songwriting yet.

Mish Barber-Way and Kenneth William sat down with Annie Clark a.k.a St. Vincent to discuss the making of the album and their creative process. The entire conversation can be read here.

Paradise is available to pre-order now on limited edition deluxe colored vinyl, limited edition tri-glitter cassette, CD, and digital download.

Sune Rose Wagner said of "EXCUSES", "I love piecing things together, It’s so inspiring working on bits and pieces and make them happen together in a beautiful way. EXCUSES is a great example of that, helps my ADD. Furthermore, being surrounded by creative, inspiring, mad people is so crucial to anything in life really but when you encounter the opposite it’s so sad and a major drag to say the least, EXCUSES is kinda about that."

Mudcrutch Announce New Album, Share Single; Headline Tour Details

MUDCRUTCH ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM "2"  OUT MAY 20TH
ALBUM PRE-ORDER AND FIRST SINGLE, "TRAILER," AVAILABLE NOW

NATIONAL HEADLINE TOUR KICKS OFF MAY 26TH IN DENVER

March 25, 2016 - Mudcrutch announced their second album entitled "2" will be released by Reprise Records on May 20th. The album is the follow up to the band's 2008 eponymous debut which Rolling Stone called "a country-rock instant classic" in a rave four star review. The new album, produced by band members Tom Petty and Mike Campbell with Ryan Ulyate, is available now for pre-order on MudcrutchMusic.com.  Fans who pre-order the digital format of the album, or the vinyl format on the band's official website, will receive downloads of three tracks, including the first single "Trailer," in advance of the May 20th album release date.

Mudcrutch has also announced their first national tour, starting at Denver's Ogden Theater on May 26th. Tickets for all headline shows go on-sale Friday, April 1st (10am local venue time) and every online ticket purchased for the headline tour includes a CD copy of the new album, "2.

Los Angeles-based rock band The Shelters, who will release their debut album on Warner Bros. Records this summer, will support all tour dates.

Mudcrutch was initially formed in 1970 in Gainesville, Florida and is the precursor to the legendary Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Tom Petty (bass/vocals), Tom Leadon (guitar/vocals), Benmont Tench (keyboards/vocals), Mike Campbell (guitar/vocals), and Randall Marsh (drums/vocals) make up the band's current line up. In 1974, Mudcrutch was signed to Shelter Records and moved to Los Angeles where they released one single, "Depot Street," to very little fanfare. The band broke up in 1975 and could have settled for being a legend, but instead Mudcrutch rose from the ashes in 2008 to remind us that the golden age of rock and roll bands still had a few treasures to unearth. Their debut, made some thirty-three years later, was an unexpected hit.

All members of Mudcrutch contribute songs on their new album "2." The album includes seven originals written by Tom Petty, with band members Mike Campbell, Tom Leadon, Randall Marsh and Benmont Tench composing one each.

In celebration of Record Store Day, the first single "Trailer", written by Petty, with b-side "Beautiful World," written by Randall Marsh, will be released at participating indie record stores as a limited edition vinyl 7 inch on April 16th.
