HEARTLESS BASTARDS SHARE NEW SONG "BLACK CLOUD"
RESTLESS ONES OUT JUNE 16
SUMMER AND FALL NORTH AMERICAN TOUR BEGINS JUNE 10
NEW YORK, NY - MAY 29, 2015 -- Heartless Bastards have released a new song, "Black Cloud" from their soon-to-be-released album Restless Ones (Partisan). Billboard premiered the song yesterday alongside a revealing Q&A with singer/songwriter/guitarist Erika Wennerstrom.

Two weeks ago, the band unveiled the new album's video for the first single, "Gates of Dawn. The clip premiered on Stereogum and is now also available to view on YouTube .
Restless Ones, out June 16, is the band's fifth album and was produced by GRAMMY® Award-winning producer John Congleton (St. Vincent, Angel Olsen, Swans). Restless Ones was tracked in August 2014 during a 10-day session at El Paso, TX's renowned Sonic Ranch. Located on 2,300 acres of pecan orchards bordering the Rio Grande and Mexico, the studio - the largest residential recording complex in the world - provided the perfect setting, miles away from all real world responsibilities and thus able to fully invest themselves in the act of creation.
"We took a lot of chances," says singer/songwriter Erika Wennerstrom says, "taking the sounds in different directions in order to grow. I don't ever want to make the same album twice."
Heartless Bastards are setting off on a summer tour this June with support from Craig Finn (of The Hold Steady). The tour kicks off on June 10 at the Thirsty Hippo in Hattiesburg, MS taking them across the east coast and Midwest before ending on July 2 at Trees in Dallas, TX. All tour and festival dates are listed below and can be found on their interactive website experienceRestlessOnes.net. Their fans will also be able to share photos, videos and check out new music directly from the band.

The Mynabirds Use MyIdol to Create Lyric Video for “Semantics” + in DC w/ Pixies 5/31
The Mynabirds Use MyIdol to Create Lyric Video for “Semantics”
Band Announces Show w/Pixies May 31,
Plays Santa Monica Pier in August
Lovers Know Out August 7 on Saddle Creek
After touring the world as a member of the Postal Service in 2013, Laura Burhenn, aka The Mynabirds, took a year to get lost. She drove across the US twice, toured South Africa solo, made her first appearance in London (also solo), and trekked all over Europe with William Faulkner’s words ringing in her ears: “You cannot swim for new horizons until you have courage to lose sight of the shore.” Finally she found herself in Los Angeles with a suitcase of songs to fill a whole new album. Lovers Know, the third full-length, will be released on August 7 via Saddle Creek.
This week Laura offers up a special treat: a lyric video for the album’s first single, “Semantics”, created with the MyIdol app combined with some gorgeous photos by Bliss Braoudakis. The app features turned out to be a perfect foil for the song. As Nylonnoted in their premiere of the video: "each time the hook drops, some infectiously random scenes ensue, reminding us why we fell in love with the confusing-yet-addictive Chinese app in the first place (because who doesn’t want to see a cartoon version of herself holding up a roll of toilet paper that turns into an angel?)."
Another moment of hilarity came when it was time to translate the lyrics. "I made the entire video using MyIdol and was pretty impressed with myself,” Burhenn explains. “But then, when it was finished, I realized I had no idea what any of the Chinese subtitles said! So I got some help from an artist friend of mine, Ying Zhu, who is a native Chinese speaker. She translated everything for me, and it was pretty incredible how much the Chinese subtitles lined up with the actual song lyrics! Love songs definitely have a universal language, no matter how they’re sliced and diced. The lyrics are all posted with the video on YouTube, so definitely read them all there."
Tour Dates
May 31 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC w/ Pixies
August 20 at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, CA
Led by Laura Burhenn and produced by Bradley Hanan Carter of Black English, Lovers Know forges into previously unexplored territory. Exploring influences of 80s, 90s, and futuristic soundscapes, the record recalls Kate Bush, Sinead O’Connor, Jesus and Mary Chain, and My Bloody Valentine. The result is arguably one of Burhenn’s most personal and confessional works to date, yet also her most accessible, delving deep into universal themes of love, loss, and seeking connection.
“Love – or the lack of it – is the thing we all have in common,” she notes. “It can destroy us. It can break us open and let the light in. And it’s also the thing that can make us sing.”

On US Tour In June
New Album Wild Nights
Out June 9th On Bella Union
"It seems like every new song from PINS peels back a new layer or tackles another mood; they possess a knack for diversity that belies their rather short time working together as a band" --Stereogum
"Sonically it's indie-pop edged out with a feeling of questioning melancholy, and just a smidgen of menace, and from the second they hit the screen you wanna be part of their gang"--NOISEY
"Young Girls," a sunny-day indie shuffler that flows perfectly in time for the gentle winds of spring" --FADER
"The likes of Haim should take note of how it's done"—Under The Radar
PINS have just released 'Molly' the latest track from their highly anticipated new LP "Wild Nights". 'Molly' makes its premiere on Stereogum and you can check it out here [Insert Link]. The anthemic track perfectly encapsulates PINS, or as the girls say "Fuck yesterday, fuck tomorrow, everything is transient, everyday is a new party."
Recorded in Joshua Tree at Rancho De La Luna with Dave Catching (QOTSA, Eagles of Death Metal) and Hayden Scott, and mixed in New York with Ben Baptie at Atomic Sound NYC, PINS second album Wild Nights will be released on Bella Union on June 9th.
Accumulating high praise and a growing fan base for their debut album Girls Like Us, along with packed out headline shows and tour dates supporting the likes of Crocodiles, Sleigh Bells, Warpaint, The Growlers and The Fall, tight-knit girl gang PINS have had quite a two years.
Following on from their first West Coast tour and performances at New York's CMJ festival at the end of last year, PINS have just supported Sleater-Kinney, Wire and Drenge on their UK/EU tours. They'll be returning to the US in June, including an appearance at Northside Festival.
