Music is My Boyfriend: last night

Music is My Boyfriend #4
April 12th, 2007

The nights at Bar 107 become more and more surprising. This special night was fun and weird. We played "Weapon of Choice" by BRMC for the first time at Bar 107. BRMC put the bar on the map and we are giving the love back. These nights are becoming more crowded. We are going to have to make a guestlist. More people from the downtown artwalk attended. The night was dedicated to Kurt Vonnegut. Carry on good soul. Also this was the last night for DJ Perfik for a while. He is doing a show on April 20th. More about that later. Candice and I will be back next month with a Coachella sunburn and friends and stories to tell. Anyway if I can remember what was played, it was something like this:

Alexander (10pm)

Donovan "Hurdy Gurdy Man"
Black Sabbath "Snowblind"
LCD Soundsystem "North American Scum"
Hot Chip "The Warning"
Klaxons "Golden Skans"
BRMC "Stop"
Motley Crue "Looks That Kill"
David Bowie "Fame"
Arcade Fire "Keep The Car Running"

Then Josh aka DJ Perfik (1030pm)

Bloc Party "The Prayer"
The Young Knives "She's Attracted To"
BRMC "Weapon Of Choice"
T-Rex "Telegram Sam"
Buzzcocks "Ever Fallen In Love?"
The Clash "Clampdown"

and more ....

Candice aka DJ Queen of Clubs (1130pm) played a heavy set including The Gossip, Toto, Iron Maiden, New Order, Blondie, Missing Persons, and much more.... We had a special guest DJ slip in a few songs.

Then I came on again at 1230pm and ramble through my record collection:

CSS "Alala"
