February 10th, 2023 – Nettwerk is thrilled to announce the signing of alt-pop artist Kevitch (neé Lindsey Kevitch). After releasing a pair of esoteric singles in 2020 and 2021 that reached over 26M streams, the LA-via-Philly singer/songwriter reemerges with her new single “Secrets.” Such as the title itself, Kevitch has proven that she knows a lot about secrets - as she has kept details surrounding her identity and artistry mostly private. With 137K+ Instagram followers and solely focused on her craft, Kevitch is ready to reveal a slew of chill-pop anthems, which will culminate in her debut project this summer.
On “Secrets,” Kevitch’s languid voice drapes itself luxuriously over chill beats, asking repeatedly, “Can you keep a secret? Tell me that you mean it.” The dreamy, R&B-induced effort elicits a sort of blissful nostalgia, featuring smooth layered vocals and a plush soundscape. The narrative alludes to that one-of-a-kind romantic connection that comes out of nowhere, but it’s Kevitch’s songwriting that triggers intense vulnerability that’s bound to her dense yet roomy sonic cadence.
Kevitch shares this of the track,
“When I create music, I usually channel the melodies from feelings and imagination of scenes in my head. I want to create movie scenes for people to tap into and feel like they're getting transformed into another world. Take them away from their day-to-day life. I want them to feel something. With ‘Secrets,’ the song is about meeting someone out of the blue, staying up all night talking, and sharing secrets into the morning. It’s like, ‘who would have seen it coming?’ It’s a feeling you've never felt with someone before. And I wanted to put people in that scene, let them feel how it feels to have that experience."
Kevitch joins Nettwerk's expanding label roster, including artists like Mallrat, Michal Leah, Rosie Darling, Miya Folick, and others.
