LA-based singer-songwriter-producer vōx (pronounced "wokes," the Latin word for "voice") has today released her new five-song I Am Not A God EP, her first full release for indie tastemaker Arts & Crafts. The EP revels in the power of vulnerability, as vōx's delicate vibrato pairs with icy synths and minimal downtempo electronic beats; cultivating a perfect atmosphere to delve deep into issues of anxiety, rebirth, and healing.

Following a series of self-released singles and covers, one of which (a collaboration with 100 gecs' Dylan Brady) went viral reaching #8 of Spotify's Global chart, vōx released her 2017 debut EP, I Was Born, and was invited to attend the Red Bull Music Academy in Berlin. On the new EP vōx unpacks a lifetime of emotion to construct a captivating and immersive world to reflect on love, womanhood, religion, and healing. Confirmed in the Lutheran church as a young teenager, the depression and self-doubt that stemmed from this early experience is sewn into the fabric of her art. "I grew up deeply religious. This project has uncovered all the ways those ideas I was taught fucked with my self worth and thus my ability to stand up for myself and my body. I really want to create a safe space for anyone who feels shame in their humanity and imperfection to begin unpacking and start healing. That's what making this music has started for me."

Her complex and otherworldly approach to music has resulted in a deluge of glowing coverage from Pigeons & Planes, Complex, Interview Magazine, i-D, Stereogum, Paper Magazine, NYLON, Flaunt, and recent print cover feature on Broccoli Magazine.
