The fifth annual Be Kind Holiday Benefit for Alexandria House is set to be its biggest ever event as it takes over at The Troubadour on December 1st. Featuring live performances from Sharon Van Etten, Twin Shadow, John C. Reilly, Dhani Harrison, Zella Day, Benjamin Booker and more, the benefit will raise money for Alexandria House, a transitional residence and house of hospitality that provides safe and supportive housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelter to economic stability and permanent housing.
"The Be Kind Holiday benefit started five years ago in Silverlake as an all female line-up of the kindest and coolest artists I knew," explains Be Kind founder Mereki Beach. "I've been so proud to watch it grow into an event that has raised tens of thousands of dollars for Alexandria House and even prouder to see how the benefit has brought people together, personally and professionally. On a personal note, I've been fortunate enough to see how many good, kind people out there sincerely want to help others.
