Cherry Glazerr and Liily at FIGFest + Uniquely LA

FIGFEST with Cherry Glazerr + Liily + DJ Benjamin Lee Ritchie Handler Friday, June 7 @ 6 PM FIGat7th Plaza, 735 S Figueroa St Downtown LA’s free annual summer music festival FIGFest starts June 7 at Downtown LA’s premier shopping destination, FIGat7th! Kicking off the series is LA’s very own explosive rock act Cherry Glazerr coupled with the wild abandon of hard rockers Liily.  Cherry Glazerr has transitioned from the lo-fi, garage-rock in their 2014 debut release Haxel Princess, to a more polished, savage yet sweet sound layered with elements of grunge, punk and new wave found in recent albums, Apocalipstick and Stuffed & Ready. The current lineup consists of guitarist and lead vocalist Clementine Creevy, bassist Livvy Bennett and drummer Tabor Allen. Liily are five Los Angeles teenagers hailing from deep in the San Fernando Valley to the edges of the Inland Empire. Emerging from a new and burgeoning culture of youths in the city, their wildly frenetic shows point to a new vision for alternative and hard rock music that is actually a hell of a lot of fun. DJ Benjamin Lee Ritchie Handler is currently director at Nicodim Gallery but moonlights as Actress/Model/DJ and mothlampic fundamentalist. He sets the scene at 6pm, flaunting his epic record collection and impeccable taste. All acts were carefully selected to reflect the vibrant cultural center that DTLA has become. Past festivals have featured The Internet, Soulection, Wavves, Tuxedo, Poolside, Gabriel Garzon-Montano, Lion Babe, KING, and Anderson .Paak. Presented by Brookfield Properties, FIGFest runs 6-11pm every Friday in June and is free and open to all ages.
