TO PLAY SHAKY KNEES, GOVERNORS BALL, FORECASTLE AND FUJI ROCK MUSIC FESTIVALS
Calpurnia first made their affection for Weezer known in 2018 when they chose to cover their song “Say It Ain’t So” for their Spotify Singles Cover. Now the appreciation runs both ways with Weezer featuring the 4 members of the Vancouver based band as the stars of their awesome new video. Made for the track "Take On Me" which is featured on their new album Weezer (The Teal Album) the video takes a trip back to the 1980s paying tribute to the original music video by a-ha.
In the video Finn Wolfhard plays a young Rivers Cuomo, he tells us “This video was an absolute blast to film and I’m so excited for everyone to see it. Calpurnia has covered Weezer in the past and I’m really honored that they asked us to do this.”
Calpurnia have just wrapped another US tour stretching from Oregon to Texas and they aren't slowing down with a busy summer festival schedule which includes Shaky Knees, Governors Ball, Forecastle and Fuji Rock in Japan.
They have also been busy in the studio recording new music including a brand new song which is due to drop next month. Watch this space for details.
Their debut EP Scout is available now on Royal Mountain Records.
