NEW YORK, NY (September 1, 2026) – Today, All Things Go Festival 2026 added ATG favorite Ethel Cain as co-headliner for its third NY edition on Saturday, September 26 - making it her final show of 2026 on the Willoughby Tucker Forever Tour. Sienna Spiro has withdrawn from the festival. The festival’s 3-day tickets are sold out for Friday, Sept. 25, Saturday, Sept. 26, and Sunday, Sept. 27. Photo credit: Mona Najma Following the announcement of her upcoming album The Lying Swans, out Oct 30th via La Double Vie & Cargo Records, today Gloria de Oliveira returns with new single "The Wind Took it Away", a wistful chamber pop meditation on the aftermath of love, which follows on from the atmospheric first single "Fading Faces". Tracing the fading remains of a relationship, the song is carried by intricate Bossa Nova percussion underneath a lush arrangement, infusing the song with a playful lightness despite its deep melancholy. The German-Brazilian artist’s sweetly intimate vocal performance and lyrics suggest acceptance, finding grace in what can no longer be held onto: “I wrote most of the album and recorded the demo to this song during a sweltering pandemic summer in the flat I’d just moved into after finally being able to escape an abusive situation. I spent sleepless nights listening to Nara Leão, Milton Nascimento and Baden Powell and watching ‘Thorn Birds’, ‘L'histoire d'Adèle H’ and ‘Days of Heaven’. When I later sent Randall these references he immediately understood how to flesh out this world.” Produced by Randall Dunn (Anna von Hausswolff, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Marissa Nadler), the recording features de Oliveira on vocals, grand piano, Wurlitzer and synthesizer, joined by an exceptional cast of musicians, including drummer Matt Chamberlain (Fiona Apple, David Bowie, Tori Amos, Pearl Jam), harpist Marilu Donovan (LEYA, Eartheater), flautist Lina Andonovska, pedal-steel player Luke Bergman and guitarist Lennard Zander. The lyrics likewise weave together mythology with allusions to Milton's Paradise Lost and the poetry of John Keats, Emily Brontë and Anne Sexton. The Lying Swans seeks beauty amid darkness, embracing a proto-Gothic sensibility rooted as much in German Romanticism as in horror cinema, where love, obsession, and illusion become almost mythical. The Lying Swans thus unravels as a deeply personal story of trauma and its aftermath, referencing the Greek myth of Leda, wherein Zeus tries to charm a Spartan princess by disguising himself as a swan. As with all myths, this one can be looked at in different ways, as a tale of magical seduction, or an account of a of brutal violation. Leda’s consent has remained a topic of debate for centuries. The album traces the fractured sense of identity left in betrayal's wake, the fragile process of falling in love again, and the slow return of trust. Many of the songs revolve around acts of recognition: learning to distinguish truth from illusion, reading signs, seeing clearly, and trusting one's own perception again after years of doubt. The successor to “Oceans of Time” (Sacred Bones, 2022), her collaboration with David Lynch’s longtime sound designer Dean Hurley, “The Lying Swans” leads de Oliveira into new territories. Thematically as well as sonically, on these 9 songs the German-Brazilian artist seems to be stepping out of the misty realms of reverb and gauzy fuzz, displaying an earthier, more tactile and thereby vulnerable side. Still, they inhabit the very space where de Oliveira's emotionally resonant songwriting naturally thrives, magnified by Dunn’s instinct for dense atmosphere, hovering between dream and reality, concealment and revelation. Her seraphic, yearning voice remains the focal point, flanked by a stunning cast of musicians: Matt Chamberlain’s (David Bowie, Tori Amos, Pearl Jam) one-of-a-kind drumming lays the foundation for the album's idiosyncratic movement, wherein Lennard Zander's intricate guitars and Múm’s Gyða Valtýsdóttir’s cello provide rich, warm countervoices to de Oliveira’s agile soprano. Marilu Donovan’s harp (LEYA, Eartheater, Julie Byrne) and Úlfur Hansson’s Segulharpa and custom synthesizer soundscapes add a gossamer shimmer, while Ambient icon Tor Lundvall delivers a rare spoken word performance. Lina Andonovska’s transverse flute has a leading role, imbuing the songs with both an airy and unsettling tone, indebted as much to de Oliveira’s Brazilian roots as to 1970s & 1980s Giallo soundtracks, the atmospheric Italian horror mysteries that contain both stylized graphic violence and voyeurism, and splendid beauty.   The haunting tale of The Lying Swans unfolds like a work of Magic Realism, inhabited by birds, saints, sirens, bloody faces, ghost ships and spectral apparitions, inviting listeners into Gloria de Oliveira’s most immediate and complex work to date. [September 1st, 2026]- Last week, C.O.F.F.I.N (Children Of Finland Fighting In Norway) presented their new single “13 Days”. Released digitally on August 25th, the new single is the last sonic offering from their sixth studio album Out in Oslo, which will be released September 18th via p(doom) records.

Out today on streaming platforms worldwide, the new single showcases a softer side to the band through a laidback acoustic-heavy palette, one that contrasts the more rambunctious and unfiltered rock ‘n’roll tracks “Sleep In It” and “Think Bad”.

Ben Portnoy from C.O.F.F.I.N. describes the track’s inspiration as follows:

“13 Days was the last song written for the album, and was originally an acoustic solo track I had been working on. Producer Declan Mehrtens asked if we had anything in the works that was a real step-away from our compositional comfort zone.
Kosty had been staying at my place and overheard me the night before on the acoustic tinkering with a solo song and suggested, “What about that one from last night?” I was quick to shut the idea down, saying it wasn’t a C.O.F.F.I.N song. I think mainly because I didn’t want to feel as though I was imposing my own songs and guitar style on the band. Also probably felt a bit exposed.
Declan was intrigued, though and persuaded me to show the fellas. One rule we had for this record was to not rule anything out when writing it, and the guys were really supportive and excited about the idea of having our first acoustic track on this album. We were also reminded that any song is a C.O.F.F.I.N song once we’re all playing it together. We’re lucky not to feel restricted by a genre or external expectations.
Lyrically, the song documents the folly of our legal system through the story of two friends who were facing potential jail time for acts of on-the-street justice (that didn’t involve anyone being hurt). They were given 13 Days from January 1 to figure out their defence AND fund it!”

C.O.F.F.I.N are keeping it busy in 2026. In addition to a tour later this year, the band are also gearing up for the release of their documentary 10,000 Miles From Oslo. Throughout July, the documentary has been screening at cinemas in Melbourne, Sydney, Europe and North America, and hits the UK in August. Featuring commentary from family, collaborators and figures across the Australian music community, alongside live in-studio performances and early previews of unreleased music, the film offers an intimate inside view into who C.O.F.F.I.N is. The documentary follows the band's 20-year journey, from teenage beginnings through to the making of their new album.

The new album Out In Oslo is both a celebration of this journey and the beginning of a new chapter.
