The Chemical Brothers Release Goodbye Official Video And Unveil Erol Alkan Rework |
[Friday 3rd November, London] The Chemical Brothers have released a new video for Goodbye alongside a magnificent rework by Erol Alkan.
One of the highlights of The Chemical Brothers’ tenth album (For That Beautiful Feeling) and their recent live shows, Goodbye is heavy on dusty synths, sampled vocals and clattering drum breaks.
Now, in the hands of super producer and close friend of the band Erol Alkan, the track becomes a nine minute plus ecstatic analogue techno stomp driven by a bassline that bounces through the speakers to confidently take control of any dance floor it soundtracks. An instant classic. Click here to listen.
A video for the band’s original version of Goodbye - directed by the band’s long term visual collaborators Smith & Lyall - has also gone online today. Click here to view. You can find assets for the release here.
The Chemical Brothers’ tenth album For That Beautiful Feeling was released to huge acclaim in September this year. The band are currently on an arena tour of the UK that finishes at the O2 in London on November 4th. The Chemical Brothers also recently released a career-spanning retrospective book. Paused in Cosmic Reflection via White Rabbit. The book is made up of new interviews with the band as well as many of their friends and collaborators from the past three decades, including Noel Gallagher, Aurora, Wayne Coyne, Beth Orton, Beck, Michel Gondry and many more. The book is available to purchase here.
The Chemical Brothers are Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons.
