April 17, 2025 – (Hollywood, CA) – TOMORA, the collaboration between The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands and Norwegian art-pop artist AURORA, has released their long-awaited debut album COME CLOSER today via Capitol Records, ahead of their return to Coachella, where they made their U.S. live debut at the festival last week. Listen to COME CLOSER HERE.
The 12-track LP is available digitally to stream or download now, as well as physically on CD and various vinyl formats: 180g pink & white marbled vinyl, 180g white vinyl, 140g black vinyl, 140g neon pink marbled vinyl, and glow in the dark vinyl. View the full tracklist below.
Of the album, TOMORA says: “This is the music that we’ve been waiting to make…the hardness with the soft, the ugly with the beautiful… It’s about connection. It is our own world — one that only exists when we meet and create together.”
Alongside the album, TOMORA have shared new track “I DRINK THE LIGHT”: a luminous and euphoric piece of electronic music that sits at the heart of the record and displays the album’s emotional scope. Premiered yesterday by BBC Radio 6 Music’s Lauren Laverne, the track is now available across all platforms. Listen HERE.
TOMORA says: "We wrote ‘I DRINK THE LIGHT’ whilst watching the light glitter and dance off the shimmering fjord in Norway. We wanted to write a song that felt like witnessing the wonders of Earth for the very first time. The song is an exploration of light sensations and fluid dynamics. We taste the earth, we swallow the sun, we are one with the fabric of life, and most importantly of all, we drink the light."
COME CLOSER lands to widespread critical acclaim, building on a run of defining moments for the project, from two sold-out debut shows to two Coachella performances, firmly establishing TOMORA as one of the most compelling new forces in electronic music. DJ Mag deemed COME CLOSER as a “top notch electronic pop…exceptional”, while MOJO highlighted how TOMORA’s “individual strengths merge seamlessly”. Meanwhile Disco Pogo Magazine, in their cover feature with TOMORA, called COME CLOSER “kaleidoscopic and kinetic…a delightful take on whimsical techno”, and The Guardian said, “Rowlands’ kinetic yet precisely structured dance framework fusing with Aurora’s more chaotic pop nous create[s] a head-spinning mix of techno, trip-hop and, on the prowling title track, a skewed take on prog.”
The album includes previously released debut single “RING THE ALARM,” a December track which was met with praise from the likes of SPIN, Brooklyn Vegan, and Stereogum, who said “‘Ring The Alarm’ [is] a high-octane build … AURORA's urgent vocal swirls… the track lives right at the edge, seesawing between euphoria and panic.”
On COME CLOSER, two utterly unique talents come together to create an even more singular record. They collaborate across the continent from their home studios — a dark, machine-cluttered room on the English coast and a bright, sunlit space by a fjord in Norway. Tom Rowlands and AURORA have worked on each other’s records before, but this time they carve out a space, and a sound, entirely their own. The result is the kind of electricity you feel flicking through a perfect record collection. COME CLOSER, Tom and AURORA’s first record as TOMORA, captures two inspired, innovative artists bouncing ever more ambitious ideas off each other to see just how far they can go. And they go far. Come closer: Drink it in.
