“While the White Stripes — their most obvious comparison — were about controlled

energy, Girl Tones are proudly imperfect.”

“...the duo’s allure is only multiplying with each release.”

Putting a scuzzy bow on their massive year, Girl Tones release one more single today titled “Leave The City.” Out now via Parallel Vision x Big Loud Rock, the song sees the 2-piece band with stars in their eyes after a year of playing all over the world. Formidable flowers pushing their way through the cracked concrete, Girl Tones are in a grateful state of disbelief. “Leave The City” is meant to be screamed from an open sunroof, taking in the night air — Stream.

The duo shared that, “‘Leave the City’ is about growing pains, it plays on the idea of loving where you are from, but feeling out of place. Navigating between pain and nostalgia in a place that you simultaneously love and hate.”

Girl Tones took the reins this year and didn’t let up on the control even once. In 2025, they made their festival debut at LollapaloozaShaky Knees and Austin City Limits in the US, as well as The Great Escape in the UK. Addicted to the road, they toured in support of Cage The ElephantSilversun PickupsThe Velveteershey, nothing and Sunday (1994)

Throughout the year, Girl Tones have been hitting milestone after milestone. Their singles “Blame,” “Cherry Picker” and “Burnout” all secured Advanced Placement on Sirius XM’s Alt Nation. “Burnout” was featured in ABC's show High Potential and “Fade Away” landed in an episode of The Runarounds. With tremendous editorial support throughout the year, “Burnout” was recently added to Amazon's Best of 2025: Alternative List and Spotify's Editors' Pick: Best Rock & Alt Songs of 2025.

Girl Tones’ foot will stay on the throttle in early 2026 with upcoming tours announced with Peter McPoland and Dexter and The Moonrocks. In May, they will head back to the UK to play The Great Escape, and back in the US in June they will perform at Bonnaroo and Outside Days. See all upcoming dates here and below.
