(November 21, 2025) - Alice Glass shares her new single “MERCY KILL.” The high voltage and glitchy song arrives with a music video directed by Yulia Shur filmed on 16mm and treated with corrosive chemicals to distort and degrade the footage to make a bizarre and atmospheric visual with no digital effects. “MERCY KILL” follows the single “CATCH AND RELEASE” from earlier this year, both marking the first taste of a larger project from Alice Glass arriving in 2026.
Alice Glass is one of the most recognizable and singular voices in electronic music, first rising to prominence in the late 2000s as the frontwoman of Crystal Castles. With a sound that blurred the lines between noise, pop, and punk, she helped define an era—earning widespread acclaim from Pitchfork, NME (John Peel Award for Innovation), and a global cult following. Known for her ability to move between an eerie lilt and an unrelenting roar, Glass brought a raw, physical energy to stages around the world and helped shape the visual and sonic landscape of a generation.
Since departing the band in 2014 and publicly speaking out about the abuse she endured, Glass has reemerged on her own terms – as a solo artist, a sought-after DJ, and a symbol of artistic resilience. Her 2022 debut album PREY//IV cemented her as a powerful force in her own right, and in 2024, she released the collaborative track “REMAINS” with CLIP and covered The Smashing Pumpkins fan favorite “Drown.” With her latest offerings, Alice continues to push even further beyond genre and expectation.
