"['Tired of Loving You' is a] soft-sounding pop tune that ushers in melodic verses and a tortured romance-centric narrative, the pop band have served you with the ultimate heartbreak anthem today, and it is an anthem that you won’t be able to take off of repeat."

FLOOD

Today, San Fermin shares a brand new single entitled "Tired of Loving You." The band will share more new music this year via Better Company Records.

Speaking on their new track, bandleader Ellis Ludwig-Leone wrote:

"'Tired of Loving You' started as a love song called 'Won’t Get Tired of Loving You.' But I showed it to Allen and he made me write an opposite version where I dropped the “won’t,” which, as soon as he suggested it, we both were like “oof, this is heartbreaking.” It ended up being about falling out of love with someone who is really special, and not knowing why."

Lead vocalist Allen Tate continued:

"Working on 'Tired of Loving You' was a really interesting challenge because at its core, the song is talking about this feeling that's, at once, hyper familiar and acutely terrible. The goal was then for the production and the experience as a whole to match that. I think in the past with some of our songs, the intensity has definitely been there, but they can be so complex that there is somewhere else to look or turn your attention. I really felt like the best version of this song was one with no escape hatch. The rhythms and melodies start you on a train right from the beginning, there are harmonies to make it feel just soft enough, but the lyrics are laid too bare to be mistaken, and the conclusion is repeated at the end of each stanza. You're driven straight into it.

We tried it out live in our acoustic shows this past fall and spring, and every time we finished playing it, there would be, like, audible groans of sadness from the audience when the song ended before the applause."

San Fermin's collaborative EP entitled In This House, was released last fall and features collaborations with Nico MuhlySorcha RichardsonThao NguyenWye OakAttacca QuartetThe Districts, and Wild Pink.
