In celebration of the 1-year anniversary of their debut album YOUNGOvercoats have released an acoustic version of their dance-pop anthem, "I Don't Believe In Us".Refinery 29 premiered the song, calling it "a thoughtful ponderance of guitar and measured epilogue for their debut album".

Elion and Mitchell told Refinery 29"It was one of our most 'dance' songs, so we wanted to reimagine the song in a more intimate and honest way. A lot of the lyrics in 'I Don't Believe In Us' are sort of a representation of what it's like to be a musician on the road for a year." Mitchell adds, laughing, "the romance of it all gets shattered. And you're like, 'Oh, I'm not a pop star flying in first class everywhere. But, the resolve of the song, is 'That's okay, and I choose that anyway.' This song in its rawest form speaks to that a lot."

After a huge 2017, which included sold-out shows worldwide, their captivating Tiny Desk performance, their songs landing numerous spots on network television, and being hailed as NPR Music's #4 album of 2017, Overcoats continue to tour, while laying the groundwork for their next album. "We're writing in a much more rock mentality," Mitchell and Elion share. "Because we've realized that playing live and being able to shred on guitar and wile out is the most fun thing. And we're just gonna follow that." They are aiming bigger, expect something more raucous.
