Shudder to Think returns! The post-harcore art rock band formed in the DC-area in the ‘80s before disbanding in 1998. While they’ve since regrouped occasionally over the years, their two shows this Saturday, March 15th at Los Angeles’ Permanent Records Roadhouse marked their first since 2013. The lineup featured Pony Express Record-era bandmates Craig Wedren on lead vocals, Nathan Larson on guitar, and Adam Wade on drums who were joined by Clint Walsh on guitar and Jherek Bischoff on bass.
The band delivered a set featuring many of their classic hits and they closed out the show with a new track, “Playback.” As Wedren noted to the exuberant audiences – which featured the likes of musicians Dave Grohl, James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins), Steven McDonald (Redd Kross), Anna Waronker (that dog.) and Josh Klinghoffer (RHCP, Pearl Jam); comedians and filmmakers Ken Marino, David Wain, Jonah Ray, the Sklar Brothers, Jesse Peretz (director), Lisa Cholodenko (director), Brad Simpson (producer); and many more – “We are Shudder to Think and we intend to do this more!”
