3x GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress’ new single “Wishful Drinking” with Sam Hunt is top three most added at country radio today. Co-written by Andress, Jonny Price, JP Saxe, Lucky Daye and Rykeyz, the fan-favorite track has been a streaming success for Andress since its release, accruing over 49 million global streams and is currently sitting at #3 on Spotify’s Hot Country playlist. Upon release, the song launched at #8 on Spotify’s Top 10 USA Song Debuts Chart (all genre) along with praise from Rolling Stone and NYLONV Magazine called it “a moving country-pop ballad that perfectly combines Andress’s soft pitch and Sam Hunt’s husky vocals.”

“‘Wishful Drinking’ started out as just a fun way to do my first collab with another artist I really admire so I was blown away by the support from the fans when it took on a life of its own,” says Andress. “I can’t wait to perform the song live for the first time with Sam on New Year’s Eve and start the year off with a little ‘Wishful Drinking.’”

Andress will be performing the heartbreak anthem with Sam Hunt on CBS’ five-hour star studded holiday special, “New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash.” With co-hosts Bobby Bones and Rachel Smith, the special will air across multiple time zones from 8-11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m. ET/PT.

Next year, Andress will embark on Keith Urban’s recently announced 50-date North American “The Speed of Now World Tour.” Tickets are on sale now and can be found here.

About Ingrid Andress

3x GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress released her debut album Lady Like, named “one of the year’s strongest albums” by Associated Press, via Warner Music Nashville/Atlantic Records in 2020. Co-written and co-produced by Andress, Lady Like became one of Billboard’s Top 10 Best Country Albums of 2020 and set the record as the highest streaming country female debut album of all time upon release. The celebrated LP features her multi-platinum No. 1 radio single “More Hearts Than Mine,” which also made history as the only debut single from a solo female artist to break the Top 20 on country radio in 2019.

Ingrid arrived at last year’s GRAMMY Awards as a Best New Artist nominee, making her the only country artist to be nominated in the “Big Four” categories. She received two additional nominations for Best Country Album (Lady Like) and Best Country Song (“More Hearts Than Mine”), ultimately tying for last year’s most-nominated country artist. Shortly after, Amazon Music released the short film “A Lady Like That,” showcasing the unapologetic artist’s unique perspective while on the heels of her first GRAMMYs. The 4x ACM Award, 3x CMA Award and 2x CMT Music Award nominee continues to be a leading force in country music as Andress was the first female country artist to be chosen for Apple Music's Up Next Program in March of 2020.

With more than 749 million global streams, Andress has been included on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list and selected as one of Variety’s “10 Storytellers to Watch.” Prior to making her artist debut, she wrote songs for multiple cross-genre artists including the iconic Charli XCX hit “Boys.” Andress recently wrapped the US leg of her headlining “Feeling Things Tour” and will make her Stagecoach debut in 2022.
