THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS SHARE “WE’VE GOT TO TRY,”
A SONG FROM THEIR UPCOMING ALBUM, NO GEOGRAPHY

Official Video Follows Canine “Girl” On Heroic Adventure

“WGTT15000BPM F1 NEEEUM Mix” – The Fastest Remix Ever –
Is The New Global Sonic Identity For Formula 1®
“We’ve Got To Try” – a track from The Chemical Brothers forthcoming album, No Geography – was released today by Astralwerks as the accompanying video was unveiled in a YouTube Premiere. The song has been tapped by Formula 1® as the sound of the F1 2019 season.

Directed by Ninian Doff (Miike Snow, Kasabian), who helmed The Chemical Brothers’ 2015 clip for “Sometimes I Feel So Deserted,” the video tells the gripping tale of an abandoned dog named Girl, who is plucked from the streets of London and, in a classic rags-to-riches story, embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Through sheer force of will, she rises through the ranks of motorsport, and much, much more. Welding together the iconic visuals The Chemical Brothers are known for with the determination and endurance at the heart of F1 Sport, the short film celebrates the extraordinary drama that unfolds at the intersection of great ambition and apex technology. Watch the video HERE.

To celebrate the start of the 2019 F1 season, the British duo broke down, re-engineered and accelerated “We’ve Got To Try” to 15,000 beats per minute (BPM) to reflect the 15,000 revs per minute (RPM) that today’s hyper-complex F1 cars are capable of reaching. Titled“WGTT15000BPM F1 NEEEUM Mix” and clocking in at a mere three seconds, it is the fastest remix of all time and approximates the iconic sound of an F1 car roaring by. “WGTT15000BPM F1 NEEEUM Mix” will be the new global sonic identity for F1 moving forward. “The engineering challenge of creating the fastest remix intrigued us as F1 fans and music producers,” said Tom Rowlands, who founded The Chemical Brothers with Ed Simons. “It’s exciting to hear our music in the context of F1. The speed and intensity of F1 is a nice reflection of our music and live shows.”
No Geography, The Chemical Brothers’ ninth studio album, will be released on April 12 by Astralwerks. Fans who pre-order No Geography in digital format will instantly receive “We’ve Got To Try,” “Got To Keep On,” “MAH” and “Free Yourself. The Chemical Brothers will kick off a world tour on May 12. See below for itinerary and tickets. Additional dates will be announced soon.

Global streams of the single “Got To Keep On” have already surpassed six million. Rolling Stonehailed the song as an “ecstatic throwback.” Consequence of Sound described it as “neon distilled into pure adrenalized electronica.” Billboard observed, “There are layers at work here, from the smiling vocal sample at its heart to crowd whoops and whistles, twinkling textures, church bells and so many hits of booming bass.” The surrealistic video for “Got To Keep On” was directed by Oscar® winner Michel Gondry and his brother, Olivier Gondry. No Geography follows The Chemical Brothers’ GRAMMY®-nominated 2015 album, Born In the Echoes, which Pitchfork praised as “some of the best pure pop songs Rowlands and Simons have ever made.” The duo has sold more than 12 million albums and six million singles worldwide. They have had six No. 1 albums in the U.K. and were the first electronic act ever to receive a GRAMMY®, winning in the Best Rock Instrumental Performance category for “Block Rockin’ Beats” – the first of their four GRAMMY wins.
