TY SEGALL UNVEILS TWINS ALBUM ART & TRACKLISTING

TY SEGALL UNVEILS TWINS ALBUM ART & TRACKLISTING;
ANNOUNCES WEST COAST TOUR

Last week, we presented you with the potent first taste of Ty Segall's Twins via the album's first single, "The Hill," featuring Thee Oh Sees' Brigid Dawson alongside Ty. Now, lay your eyes on the above album art, and check out the below tracklisting to get a further grasp of Ty's next explosive solo venture, Twins. The monster energies of Twins follows Goodbye Bread, Melted, Lemons and Ty Segall as the prime statements in Ty's ongoing discography, dating all the way back to 2008 when he was just getting started. And in case you haven't noticed, it should be noted,Twins is Ty's fourth full release this year!! He brings you Twins following the release of a singles comp, a fab collab with White Fence, and an album with The Ty Segall Band. Today, 2012, is where the energy is! Ty Segall is a new man, a different kind of man from his knuck-draggin' earlier incarnations. He's jetting toward Jupiter, brooding, looking at man with x-ray eyes, yearning with a superhuman heart for a love to come and stay.

Ty Segall's Twins is out October 9th on Drag City. "The Hill" 7" is available September 4th on Drag City; the individual track is available as a digital single now.

CUPS MAGAZINE 1991-2000

CUPS MAGAZINE was a child of the 1990s. Who reads books anymore? Most people in cafes now, just cruise the internet and look at OK Cupid and Ebay and Wikipedia. In the 1990s, we drank coffee and read novels, and argued about poetry films and politics. Today's young hipsters could hardly give a flying fuck. They are more concerned with finding a good weed connection and getting a check from their parents. CUPS MAGAZINE explored the existential bohemianism of last great decade.

This was a free magazine that existed before the Starbucks generation. Interviews with Andrew Vachss and Jayne County? Magazines today wouldn't even bother today. Today is so lame stream. Most of the writers of Anthem and Vice wouldn't know who these people are.

This was the first magazine with FIONA APPLE on the cover. Also we had articles about Gram Parsons and Serge Gainsbourg in 1997. Nobody even knew who they were back then. And also three interviews with some authors like Paul Theroux? Today even Vanity Fair hardly features any worthy news about fiction writers.

Slow Club's latest single "Beginners" is out now via Moshi Moshi Records. The track recently earned main-stream attention for the critically acclaimed indie darlings on account of a music video for the song featuring Daniel Radcliffe, star of the popular Harry Potter film adaptations. (Watch the video on YouTube) "Beginners" is pulled from Slow Club's highly praised sophomore album Paradise, and comes paired with two exclusive remixes by King Of Town and In Fields.

In conjunction with the release of the "Beginners" single Slow Club are thrilled to play select US dates along side Mumford & Sons, including a gig at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The band will also play headlining shows in San Francisco, Denver, and Brooklyn.

Having built a burgeoning following on the success of their much-loved debut full-length Yeah So, Slow Club's sophomore album Paradise was a further step forward in song craft and lyrical maturity. Among much other praise, the album received nods from Under The Radar (8 of 10), The New York Times, Rolling Stone who labeled them a "Band To Watch", and Pitchfork who write that "the duo has evolved from being among the best of an indie pop field overcrowded with cutesy duos to carving out a distinct niche for itself that opens up further opportunities for creative growth."

Happy New Year release new album

Happy New Year Self-Titled Debut Streaming At Spinner
New Video For "Twins" Available
NYC Record Release Show Announced
2NE1

Happy New Year's self-titled debut is out today via Brooklyn's Crikey! Records and AOL Spinner is streaming the album in its entirety. Happy New Year has also released an MP3 of "Summer" along with a video for "Twins." Shot at Muchmore's in Brooklyn, the video features cinematography along with projections by Vladimir Hermand and Annick Rosenfield.

Antipodean artist Eleanor Logan cut her teeth on Australian underground punk and garage before relocating to the Brooklyn noise scene, where as Happy New Year she delivers pop expressions of the heart via kaleidescopic self-production and varied multi-instrumentation. A forerunner of post-geographical psychedelic pop, Logan drags chimes, bells, vintage synths and breathy vocals through darkly cinematic territories. Inspired by a winter tour to Tokyo where Logan performed in a temple to monks, Happy New Year's debut self-titled full length washes wide-eyed wonderment with otherworldly percussion, cocktail soloing and an unresolved fog of memories that may not have happened. Seattle's The Stranger said, "the songs blend D.I.Y. recordings ofpercussion, drones and tech sounds with a silky voice to create pop music that's equally experimental and addictive" while The Westword stated Happy New Year is a standout for "being both startlingly good and very different from anything else."

After appearing on limited color vinyl on French boutique weirdo electronic label SVN SNS RCRDS, and coined 'le plus bel album de ce début d'année' ('the most beautiful album of the start of the year') by Europe's Hartzine, the debut Happy New Year LP will now receive an American release in the form of a limited color 12-inch on Crikey! Records.

Upcoming Shows:

August 24 - New York, NY @ Museum of Art And Design
August 26 - Brooklyn, NY @ Death By Audio
September 5 - Brooklyn, NY @ Big Snow (HAPPY NEW YEAR LP release party)
