February 23, 2024 – Los Angeles-based duo NEIL FRANCES, comprising Australian-born Jordan Feller and Southern California native Marc Gilfry, have become known globally for their cover of Stardust’s only single, the 1998 sleeper hit “Music Sounds Better With You. ” Stardust, a French house trio comprised of producer Thomas Bangalter (Daft Punk), DJ Alan Braxe, and vocalist Benjamin Diamond, never went on to release any other tracks, with the single becoming dance floor lore. Upon release in 2018, NEIL FRANCES’ version of the song went viral, earning Gold Certification in Australia, and continues to rack up hundreds of millions of streams worldwide. It was even featured as models walked the runway in Tommy Hilfiger’s return to New York Fashion Week earlier this month. When thinking about remixers for their sophomore record, It’s All a Bit Fuzzy, Alan Braxe immediately came to mind. Today, they come full circle and share the Alan Braxe remix of "Some Kind Of Static.”
Jordan exclaims, " I’ve been a lifelong fan of Alan Braxe. His Upper Cuts release was one of the first vinyls I ever bought. Those early songs continue to be a touch point that I go to for inspiration. Very grateful that he would bless us with a remix.”
Alan Braxe adds, “ I was really excited to work on this remix after my initial introduction when Neil Frances covered Stardust’s own ’Music Sounds Better With You.’ I was very impressed by it and thought this would be a great opportunity to keep the collaboration going! The vocals are what caught my attention - incredibly tender and melancholic, with a sense of proximity as if Marc is singing right there in front of you. It inspired me to build the new instrumental around that feeling. I’m really looking forward to this release and am excited to see the reception of our continued collaboration .”

Released in October 2023, the collab-heavy It’s All a Bit Fuzzy, refines NEIL FRANCES’ natural, club-ready groove with sonic influences ranging from ‘80s/’90s rave culture, ‘70s funk and soul, yacht rock, and classic hip-hop. Alluding to a dizzy night out, followed by a pleasantly woozy morning after, it is “ an ode to house music.” Featuring rising talents such as dreamcastmoe, St. Panther, PawPaw Rod, and DRAMA to create an adventurous, shape-shifting collection. The record was supported by the likes of KCRW, BBC6, Travis Mills, This Song Is Sick, SPIN, Rolling Stone, NME, and more, with GRAMMY.com saying, “its eclectic mix of layered, infectious tunes begs for multiple replays.”
Known not only for their recording prowess but also as dance-floor sociologists, NEIL FRANCES has become known for their captivating stage presence. They have sold-out numerous North American tours, including headline shows at Brooklyn Steel and The Novo, opened for acts like Jungle, Odesza, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and have evolved into a staple in the festival circuit, having graced the stages of almost every renowned North American festival, including Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Corona Capital, Portola, Outside Lands, and over fifteen others. In 2024, they have already been confirmed for Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Electric Forest and just announced they will open for Jungle at Red Rocks on April 17th.
