It talks about the discrepancy of wanting to be someone’s everything, and at the same time wishing they meant nothing to you.” She continued, “Island’ acknowledges the struggle and desire to survive together, while ‘Hero’ calls a ceasefire and waves a flag to announce its surrender.” The "Hero" music video was directed by Anuk Rohde, who previously worked with Merton on the video for her stand-out single, "Vertigo." Alice will also be performing the track live on television at Goldene Henne, Germany's biggest audience award ceremony gala, on September 17th.
