On the single, AJ wrote:   "Superstar" is a song about breaking up the ultimate love affair. It is a letter and farewell full of much pain, loneliness and sadness. It is the process of being in an emotional crisis full of vices and addictions that spirals but always with the hope of being able to recover that pure love that can only be observed from a distance. It is the lost sailor who searches for his way home with the light of the stars in the sky. "Superstar" was recorded in Los Angeles, California by Joel Jerome and features the vocal collaboration of Marion Raw and Lily Sosa.
